for us , at this place in time. Period. Coach O is doing EVERYTHING right.

Recruiting, managing assistants, managing the fan base, coaching in the broadest sense of the term...all is great.

Our guy...a Louisiana guy...he’s the best there is this year AND the train hasn’t even hit fulll speed.

Public presentation of the football team and program...he does well. It’s a necessary skill and some can’t do it.

Look at this season, not just the last game.

Look at his recruiting results.

Now, tell me I’m wrong...

And if anyone is still on the fence about Orgeron they need therapy.

I don't think we have the best head coach, but I think we might have the best staff, overall, and they look to be the best recruiting staff, as well.

As for Orgeron, himself, he made good hires, and he got out of the way, which is what I hoped he'd do. So he deserves credit for that. It's hard to really judge what he does, specifically as a head coach, at this point. But he is doing a good job of being an administrative leader, and we always knew he could recruit.

Well- 9-0 this season. So this year, all he does is win.

and dont forget he talks to his mentors who have been to the Promised Land before. he is not too proud to seek advice on this big job. Heck he even hired one to stand on the sideline with him.

You don't understand my point. The question is how much does his coaching have to do with it? He's not a guru on either side of the ball. He's never been a coordinator, other than recruiting coordinator. The huge turnaround offensively is due to finally getting a real, modern offensive mind in here, and the development of Joe Burrow.

Orgeron deserves credit, as I said, for the hires, and he and his staff are great recruiters, which we knew. But when he's not calling plays, it's hard to know what Orgeron's significance or influence is.

It's the same with Dabo over at Clemson. But as long as LSU can keep "the band" together and win, I'll take it. I mean, Orgeron is still trying to pretend that Ensminger is calling plays. That's absurd, and a little bizarre, but, again, as long as we're doing what we're doing I don't care who gets the credit.

You'd think someone was crazy if they told you Coach O would go to kick Saban's arse in Tuscaloosa and score "more points in four quarters that any team has against Alabama in the 90-year history of Bryant-Denny Stadium".

I want to know what was in that binder!

I get it. You don’t.

Because you can only be a “guru” if you have been a coordinator? You are only a good head coach if you’ve been a coordinator? You only get “credit” for hires if you’ve never been a coordinator?

Perhaps it is you that does not have knowledge of what is needed to be a good head coach? Perhaps your metrics are off?

This may be “flash” in the pan year...but Coach O gets all the credit for this year. Just as he would get all the blame if LSU were 0-9.
