I havent seen that play talked about much. I know Thad Moss's catch on the sideline was talked about as being Mossed but that first Chase TD was really vintage Moss attacking the ball that high in the air preventing the DB from having any chance of making a play on the ball. Made him look like a fool then waltzed into the endzone.

It was an incredible momentum swinging play. It gave our whole team confidence that we can do this thing.

It's come to be expected out of these guys. We got spoiled quick

I dont mean that in a bad way. But these guys are so good and Joe gives them a chance. At this point I would have been more surprised if the DB made a play.

Really did. It immediately made the statement that Alabama is mortal and we're not scared.

Chase has been making those catches all year. Burrow and him have that timing and placement down so well. That play, when ran to perfection like that, is basically unguardable.

Chase is badder than a GDCK.

totally agree

It honestly happened so fast. I forget the play before I think it was an incomplete. Then Joe dropped back and camera didn’t zoom out or pan downfield ahead of the ball. You could tell he was throwing deep and before you knew it Chase had the ball and his DB was on the ground with twisted ankles like a little bitch and Chase walked that ball into their end zone like he just kicked in the door to Sabans house and went into the fridge and cracked open a beer and sat down on his couch after claiming the remote.

It was truly the announcement of our arrival

It was something I’ve been waiting 8 years to see

And it was incredible

shite I might have to rewatch the game now for the 6th time

Nope. Joe completed his first 12 attempts.

A commentator said that Chase is the best receiver in the country at adjusting to the ball for catches.

I don't think it is so much his ability to adjust that makes him special as much as his desire to flat out attack the ball. Many guys can adjust to the throw. But most let the ball come to them. Chase goes up and gets the ball, almost like he is intercepting it from the defender (if that makes sense). Plus, he catches it with his hands and can hold it away from the defender when he does similar to OBJ. The two most glaring examples were the catches against Alabama and Texas where he just flat took the ball away from the defender at the highest point.

Chase was mushroom stamping Diggs the whole game. Dude's an absolute dog. Such a polished, aggressive receiver.

It was a long crossing route to Jefferson right in the middle of the field. Beautiful.

I knew we were winning when we drove right down the field on that TD drive

Chase absolutely bullied Diggs all game long. There were a few times where Diggs tried to jam him at the LOS and Chase knocked him back two yards with one jab and was running wide open afterward.
Dude loves to go up and get the football too. He has an elite vertical. I don't know what his stats are in a combine situation and don't really care, he just seems to be able to out jump anybody on the field. He had a really nice TD catch on a slant against State where the ball was high (I think intentionally because of tight coverage) where looked like he jumped off a trampoline to catch it.

I'm so pumped we get him for another year. Cool, collected, physical, great hands, just an all around fantastic WR.

That was my favorite part. I felt like it sent a message to the crowd that "this ain't your daddy's LSU team; we're here to frick shite up."

I’m glad this play is being discussed
The swagger when Chase caught that TD pass and casually crossed the goal line
Right then you could feel that this isn’t yesterday’s LSU
It looking so easy and casual was the statement that LSU offense was about to wreck shite
