What happened? Was Joe baited into these out route throws? Does he not have the velocity to throw these? Can Clemson recreate this?

One was close to PI. Sometimes joes throws aren’t perfect though. Sometimes.

OP has an honest question, as it was uncharacteristic. It was just subpar throws against solid defense.

At least one was a terrible route and reaction by the WR.

As Joe himself said, he was disappointed in his game. Wasn’t nearly his best effort. Look for a solid rebound on 1/13.

One was a comeback with Sullivan.

Not a great throw but Joe not a great effort by Sullivan fighting back for the ball.

WRs need to be aggressive on that route. It’s not just a turn and wait.

This one was looked like a timing issue to me. It appeared either Sullivan turned around way to early or Joe threw it way too late.

the one to moss was actually a perfectly placed ball with moss blocking out the defender.

If moss catches it (in his hands) its a huge play

Go back and look again. He threw those left handed just to see if he could. True story.

1 was definitely not a near pick, he threw it away from defender/outside shoulder. It looked worse because defender jumped the route but had no shot of picking the ball off.

I chalked that one up to a lack of timing/intuition between Joe and Sullivan, compared to what Joe has with the big 3.

Jumping routes? Yea, Clemson will absolutely be trying to do that. They’re an aggressive defense.
