I can just feel it. The energy from Hess to the pen is gonna carry this team the next few weeks into postseason play.

If he can thrive in his new middle/setup role, the energy he brings is contagious to the fans and the team.

A different level of confidence was exuded tonight. You may be right.

When the lineup came out I thought it was very strange, but it worked. Curious to see if Paul sticks with it. May leave bianco in for digiacomo

A long reliever with spark is what we have been missing.

Yep! And not just by Hess. The whole team looked confident and motivated.

I really like this lineup. It doesn't really have any noticeable holes.

4 guys with a nice mix of power & speed (Watson, Dups, Beloso, Josh Smith)

Reid in the 5 hole. Not any power or speed, but he slaps singles around & walks his arse off.

4 more solid options (Dugas, Cabrera, DH (Gio, Bianco, or CJ Willis), then Garza in the 9 hole. Garza has been looking pretty good about the last 4 games. We also have Broussard & Hughes as pinch runners/defensive replacements.

Just need to get Henry & Jaden Hill healthy.

Cabrera leads the team in home runs. He’s not jus a solid option. Lol

you might be correct and I hope you are BUT our next 8 games are going to be quite a challenge. while it is still possible to be a national seed I have reconciled that we will probably host a regional and hit the road for the super.

every thing is speculation right now but this team seems to have a fire about it that has been missing most of the year. if we can get cole henry healthy and no one else goes down we can make a run. add Hill to that healthy list and Ventmier becomes effective again and we can go all the way!

We’d really have to close strong to get a Top8/super... I’m thinking win 6-7 of final 8 SEC games, which will be extremely hard to do.

That said, even if we fall short of the Top8, we’re obviously in good position to host a regional and you never know what’s gonna happen in the regional we’re paired with... could still host Super if 1seed in other regional falls.

Am I being too greedy hoping for a patented LSU 15+ game win streak over the next few weeks?

Dugas is helping bring the energy needs to stay in lineup

If we take 2/3 from the next 3 series then we stand a pretty damn good chance of getting a national seed.

Sweep ole miss and take 2/3 from Arkansas and Auburn and you damn near gaurantee it.

If we lose another series we’d probably either have to sweep 2 of the last 3 series or make the championship game of the SEC tourney to get the national seed.

It is still very much in reach though

The energy of Dugas and Garza is what might carry us. That and the pitchers getting healthy.

I pray you are right, cuz there is nothing I want more.
I also pray it is Dunns pitch calls that has resulted in fastballs right down the middle, over the plate at those frequent, inopportune times and not Hess'.Of course, I guess it really doesn't matter.
LET'S JUST GET ON A FRIGGIN WIN STREAK!

Was late to the game due to my horse getting first place because an inquiry at the Derby.
With Eric Walker on the mound, WE GOT THIS!
Think I will get $130.00 plus for a $2.00 bet!
