looks very lame on TV and hurts the LSU baseball brand. If any of you rich folks have no intention of going to the games this weekend please give them to fans who actually want to go to the game.
1. It doesn’t hurt the brand.
2. Those people are in the building.

I don't live anywhere near LSU, so I don't get to go to many games.
I thought the crowd sounded fantastic on Sunday after the delay. Yes, it looked less full, but those that stayed/came back more than did their part.
And compared to some other regionals, Baton Rouge looked great on TV. Some of the ballparks looked sadly empty. I felt bad for the schools playing in empty parks.

Without the aging season ticket fan base built up by Bertman we might still be playing in the smaller capacity original Alex Box Stadium. My 39 years of purchasing season tickets and all the Regionals and Super Regional tickets and parking passes over the years has contributed to some degree in covering the cost of building the latest stadium.
I do make every possible effort to give away, transfer, or sell my tickets whenever I am not able to attend any games each year. I also help SRO fans standing behind me find seats in the grand stand where I know the owners of the seats hardly ever or never come to games.
Was I lucky to be able to start having my own season tickets 39 years ago? Hell yes! It doesn't mean I haven't sacrificed other pleasures at times.

Who you think has the dough to pay more for the tickets. It's the new AARP folks, Baw

I get it, and appreciate folks like you who have supported the program for longer than I’ve been alive.
I still don’t think you should be able to hand the tickets down to your relatives who most likely aren’t as die hard as you and supported the program as much as people like me.
I’ve had season tickets for 13 years now, and had a late start to the TAF donation party because of my age. In order for me to get into the grandstands, I’d have to give a one time donation of $25,000. I can’t reasonable justify doing that even if I plan on keeping them for the next 40 years.

It's a crime they are not repurposing those tickets so the average fan or younger fan can attend more games.
What the hell does repurposing the tickets mean? Does it mean if you're older, you should just stop going to games and give your seats to someone young? That's a bunch of crap.

but they aren’t helping the program
the reason they have such great seats means they are helping the program

He does. It's you that don't know sarcasm. How could you possibly think his post was serious?

for me to get into the grandstands, I’d have to give a one time donation of $25,000.
I ask because I always put my name on the waiting list for an upgrade of my two green grandstand season tickets (lower and closer to home plate) but only once did I get a call from the ticket office telling me there was an upgrade available for me based on my TAF points but the upgrade was for single seats in front and back of each other on two rows not next to each other.
I declined because I have two seats side-by-side and that's what I want to have. I'd like to know what my TAF points need to be to better qualify for an upgrade but I have not been able to get any answer for that question. Thanks.

From what I remember, it was the ticket office a few years ago, and was an estimate based on the previous year’s ranking. It wasn’t anything nefarious on LSU’s end.
Basically the larger one time donation, the more points you get. To get get me over the previous years threshold, I needed X points (I don’t remember). $25K would get me there.

Thank you. That is helpful to know.

Financially I guess. In terms of the atmosphere at Alex Box, which is what the thread is about….no, no they aren’t.

They just need to rebuild another stadium that has 15,000 seats. Then make room to have areas where up to 5,000 people can purchase SRO tickets.

If the games are not in the middle of a work day or subject to an hours long delay, they will be full.

So how much do you have to donate and how long would you have to wait to be able to start purchasing season tickets? Just finally at a point where I can start thinking about getting my own season tickets.

you don't know how these things work do you? it's OK but the people that pump money into the program are not going to be "taken away" for not cheering loud enough. your post is very entertaining.
The same people who want restrictions on tickets are the same people having an absolute meltdown everytime we give up a base hit or strikeout with men on base. Most of them would have left the game early in a meltdown.
