Not sure if people noticed but both O Lines played below average because the starters were split up. It’s a little disheartening depth wise but here’s the split .

White Team:
Jakori Savage- OT So.
Ed Ingram- OG So.
Adrian Magee- OG Jr.
Garrett Brumfield- OG Sr.
Badara Traore- OT Jr.

Purple Team:
Justin Mikush- OT Sr.
Damien Lewis- OG Jr.
Cole Smith- C Fresh.
Turner Simmers-OT Sr.
Donavaughn Campbell- OG So.
Michael Smith- OT So.

DNP:
Sahdiq Charles- OT So.
Austin Deculus- OT Fresh.

Savage was listed as White and started for Purple and Traore was listed Purple and started for White.

White team was going against:
Chaisson
Anthony
Lawrence
Fehoko
Logan
Farrell

Purple Team went against:
Farrell (both)
Shelvin
Justin Thomas
Travez Moore
Cotton
Thornton

The offensive lines were all thrown together just to get guys some tough reps . Plus it was without probably Two starters , one starter for sure who is our LT.

I’m expecting the best 5 to look like this .

LT- Charles
LG: Lewis
C: Brumfield
RG: Ingram
RT: Deculus

Too many bad snaps with Cushenberry, apparently Brumfield can play some center and they’re going to give him go. He’s also a Senior leader and can call out the blocking assignments. Even with that Hog offensive line who’s really going to run the ball on

Lawrence
Fehoko
Logan
Chaisson
Devin White
Sheesh. I’m sure protection will be much better with our actual unit guys .

RT: Deculus

I'm curious as to why so many people are penciling Deculus in as a starter. Last year, he was definitely the worst graded OL who played, and he now has missed the entire spring.

Seems like he's way way behind others like Magee and even Traore who is here for Spring.

Maybe or maybe not. Will we have a legitimate passing game is the question? Without that expect more of the same of the D being on the field too long and getting wore down midway in the 3rd.

Wrong, the Spring Game told us everything we need to know about this team. LSU wont win a game next year.

They have to be, O pumpers used the excuse last season that O was forced to play a bunch of new players on the lines due to Miles. So now O should have himself some nice experienced players there.

There you bitches go making this about O again . We are talking about the offensive line ! Idgaf about O and I would rather a much better coach ! I believe this team can win and I hope they do . Unlike you pussies hoping for a fail just to say I told you so. The team has talent.

I wouldn’t be so quick to name Austin Deculus as the starter at RT. I know he had the hype coming out of high school but I thought Magee played better than him last year to be honest and the fact that DeCulus has been hurt all spring doesn’t help his cause either. He needs to bring it in fall camp if he’s gonna start

Right tackle will be an issue this season. Left tackle will be fine with Charles in his second year. Edge rushers will be this o lines biggest issue again. Like what I see inside with the usual wealth of guards. Cush will be the center no doubt as all the Brum to center is just talk. The interesting thing will be if Brum not going to move to center will he be able to hold off Lewis?

Definitely agree, I just plugged Deculus in because he seems ideal but it could easily be someone with more experience. Maybe Traore is better suited for RT .

I think to get the best 5 on the field you need to push Brumfield to center and Lewis start at guard. But that's assuming Brumfield can actualy play center.

It would be a travesty for Lewis to not start, dude might be our best guard.

The DL looked like it was holding back big time. Our OL has some work to do before they're ready for Bama.

Not even worried about Bama at this point . That Miami game and Georgia game will tell us everything .

O did a great job of getting bodies on both offensive and defensive lines.

DLINE is playoff caliber

Oline finally has depth and experience.

I feel like this is why we fell from grace, Bama bullies people on the line of scrimmage. I cant see them bullying us this year though.

I don’t expect much from Deculus. I hope Magee starts and plays well.

based on what?

we have 1 proven dline player and its a DT. he is proven against the run.
our leading returner in sacks on the dline is Klavon with 2 sacks, both against Chattanooga.

leading returning tfl ON DLINE is klavon with 4.5. 2 of which were against Chattanooga.

our dline is talented on paper but they havent prove anything yet.

we have 1 proven great player in our front 7.
