1997 Florida Marlins
2003 Florida Marlins
2017 Houston Astros

Without Wayne, the Stros would not have won it all in 2017.

I don't blame the Dolphins, if Saban turned them down it would have been the Colts or the Giants or the Bears or pick some NFL team? He would have tried the NFL at some point sooner rather than later. LSU is lucky they kept him as long as they did. His ego was too big not to at least try the NFL and the NFL was on his radar every year he was at LSU.

while probably true it's not 100% and even if you're right he almost certainly does not end up at Alabama

I do blame Wayne for having too much garbage money to dangle in front of Little Napoleon of Football

Saban was leaving. could have left the year before. Now Drew Brees wanted Miami over Nola. That would have kept Saban in Miami.

The list of people this might have caused Rant readers to think about:
1. Alleva
2. F. King;
3. Da Coach O;
4. Saban;
5. Curley Hallman;

Typical whinny Rant BS.

(1) LSU football is not ruined. LSU played in two national championship games, and won one, since then. Moreover, LSU is consistently a top 25 program. For those of us that grew up being able to lie down and sleep in Tiger Stadium in the early 90s, that is unthinkable.

(2) If you want to blame anyone for the current condition of LSU football, which again is not anywhere near its nadir, blame F. King and Alleva.

Your wrong, it was the lure of the NFL that ruined it not one owner. If it weren't Wayne it would have been another owner. Saban wanted to go to the NFL plain and simple so if it would not have been Miami it would have been another team eventually.

My bad thought I was clear. Huizenga didn't ruin LSU football the lure of the NFL ruined it!
