Anybody have stat's on this?? Our receivers just don't drop any and 50-50 balls are now 90-10. Their work in the JUGS machine and Brady's drills have made the biggest difference in our passing game......besides Burreaux's improved accuracy

Practice makes perfect! Ten thousand balls in the offseason helps make circus catches seem ordinary.

According to the WRs, this is true. They've stated this in several video interviews.

It's also offensive scheme designed to put them in a position to make easy plays. The off-season workouts Brady had them doing helped a ton no doubt.

WRs are better. Qb is better. Scheme is better. TE is better. Oline is better. Play-calling is better. RB is better. So offense is way better.

The trust between WR and QB is the biggest part of the explosive offense.

That's only part of it....the route combinations are totally new this year.

How or where do I go to buy tickets. Everything I see is a thousand bucks and more. I looked on Clemson website to see if I can steal some die hard Clemson fans seats. Looked on StubHub. Ticketmaster damn high

Connelly had detailed stats on catch-rate in 2018. No LSU WR was above 60%.

CBS Sports had stats in drops. LSU was the worst in the SEC, and within a few teams of the worst in Div 1 football.

Doesn't matter what scheme you are in... you gotta catch the damn ball.

LSU's receivers worked their asses off - Kudos!

Chase referred to the 10000 balls caught earlier in the season, said the ball has seemed to be in slow motion.

I would say the biggest change in LSU efficiency is the lack of dropped passes.

Second would be pre snap penalties. Les Miles teams were so bad at this.

Yep. It's far more than just fewer dropped passes.

“The biggest change in LSU passing is the lack of dropped passes”

That’s what you got from watching this 3-D ninja chess offense all year? Everything changed. The preparation the scheme the philosophy, the mindset, the routes, the reads. It all changed.

the biggest change is leaving the archaic max protect philosophy in the field to die. even when we went 3wide we had max protect philosophy. it just invites more defenders to the los and shrinks the size of the field the defense has to account for.
spreading defenses out and making them cover the entire field is a vastly superior concept to alleviate a pass rush.

I think the improvement in dropped balls is a big part of it but I think the system implemented this off season and how the receivers and Joe are on the same page coupled with the receivers are where they are supposed to be is the biggest improvement. As a byproduct, the offensive line has been helped tremendously by the scheme, so it's a close 3rd.

That has been stated in 3 video interviews by LSU WR's - even when reporters were clearly trying to get the WRs to say otherwise.

I agree with the lack of dropped passes, which is courtesy of Joe Brady. However, the amazing muscle memory of Joe Burrow has a lot to do with our offensive success as well.
