I understand he’s the most hated AD in the SEC football outside of Florida, but tell me: What do you believe to be Alleva’s biggest missteps, specifically?

I don’t think he’s the man for the job but I’m curious to hear.

Biggest mistake was not firing Les after A&M in 2015. His hire of O is not as big of deal as people like to make it out to be, should he have interviewed more people? Probably, but I think O is doing the right things with this team so it just might work out.

I like Alleva for his accomplishments in the development in LSU's facilities in all of its sports but in terms of hiring coaches its very bad and its always a mess

UGA just won the SEC, as a result of hiring a good coach. LSU should have done the same.

All these “why do you hate ——?” Should stop.
They’re just stupid.
One can think officials, coaches or others make disqualifying mistakes without “hating” them.
I loved Les Miles, but thought he should be fired.
People who reduce the debate to these levels are insufferable simpletons...

Well I hate O as a person and a coach.

-Getting played by Miles with his Arkansas flirtations
-Les Miles firing in 2015 was botched by F.King and Alleva (the entire 4 weeks leading to A&M postgame)
-Florida hurricane fiasco was botched by Alleva (we somehow became the bad guy and still lost a home game for a game that had nothing to do with Baton Rouge)
-2016 coaching "search" was botched by Alleva
-Instead of taking time to find the next qualified candidate (which he had 3 months to do beforehand), Alleva got his panties in a wad and tried to beat Texas/Herman to a press conference
-Buyout given to Orgeron was financially irresponsible given the circumstances and leverage involved
-Experiment of O and Canada has been mismanaged, leading to a historically embarassing loss to Troy
-Allowing the basketball team to quit and decline postseason invitation
-lazy, embarrassing hires of Jones and Orgeron

Yeah, I don't remember people laughing at the hire, not prevalently at least. He's a young coach from a coaching tree that is as elite as it comes in college football. The hire made total sense.

All those,

Plus
Johnny Jones, and the extension he gave him.
Why does Nikki Caldwell still have a job and why does she make $900k?
Screwing up tailgating through stupid parking regs.
Basically squeezing the fans for every last cent he can.

If Assad offered enough money to Alleva for LSU to play a football game in a crater in Syria, Aleva would take the deal and charge extra for LSU branded kevlar for the fans that made the trip.

Not sticking up for him, but do you not understand that Alleva had Miles fired in 2015, but was overruled?
