Certainly you understand that, no?
No, I don’t understand anything about the decisions the idiot coaches made.

Vietmeier should have never been out there in the first place. Then they should have never kept calling for fastballs after the guy kept fouling them off. None of it makes any fricking sense.

I hate to pile on, but I was thinking the same thing when he kept grooving fastballs to that POS.
It’s absolutely mind boggling. The guy fouled off at least 5 fastballs in a row. It’s elementary pitching, you throw off speed.

But not Dunn, he knows better. Not.

yes. As usual, when a call is missed it seems the favored batter ends up producing. In the Michigan game, the ump missed a clear third strike and the batter wound up getting a hit that started a two out rally. No one is perfect but some of the calls we see are surely curious. Umps aren't paid by the hour but it surely seems some want to extend the experience.

I don’t want to argue pitch selection but I do want to make a point about this comment. Vietmeier had been the most reliable guy out of the bullpen so I can understand why they brought him in. However, as I mentioned on other threads I thought Beck was the best option in that situation considering the fact that you had a guy throwing 95 before him and Beck is nothing but off speed (and much slower on his fastball). Plus the wind was blowing in that day. So pitch selection and the pitcher poor calls.

How a college pitcher at LSU can only have one pitch is somewhat concerning to me, I do so say so myself.

Look, I’m not saying fastball was the right call, but you idiots are intentionally ignoring why he called fastball. He called the pitch he knew Vietmieir could throw for a strike. Had he called offspeed, and it missed badly (a distinct possibility) we are now facing their best hitter, and a HR gives them the lead. The gamble was that if he put it in play it’s either an out or two runs score.

Beck was the most reliable bullpen arm all season.

Yeah, very poor pitch sequence by Dunn. Was watching with my son and told him they need to go away, they threw too many inside pitches to his power side. Dunn did the same thing with Hilliard throwing 4 or 5 curves in a row (that he was hanging all night) in the Arkansas series "I think it was" and gave up a multi-run bomb. Not a fan of Dunn, that's all I can say.

Alan Dunn should be fired for that sequence. That was 100% on him. In no way shape or form that should have ever happened.
