Delusional Tech

Tech fans thought he was a dud. Little do they understand is that their defense is absolute garbage

I felt bad for Fehoko Saturday. He was being held/tackled the whole game and never got a call.

May not show on the stat sheet but he played a really good game.

They've actually been relatively solid by Tech standards this season.

They're 22nd in 3rd down defense. By comparison, LSU is 39th.

Well that dude was obviously wrong. Also fansided, the site of the article, is literally written by fans. It’s the rant with even dumber opinions. Not much credibility there.

The refs were letting them play Saturday.

6 penalties all game and Charles’ first step was early about 50% of the time.

I thought there were some PI’s that didn’t get called, but it was consistent on both sides.

Charles did look to be very antsy on his first step.

So, it is fair to say that his 38 tackles in those 25 games was underwhelming at best.

Is this what passes for journalism in tortilla land?

38 tackles were underwhelming. Were. It’s plural FFS

91 has been one bad dude for us. Always double teamed & held. When he's out Fla,Tech,GA got yards between the tackles. Alexander & co. are blocked by one guy when they replace Fehoko

It’s one two pass every play in the that league so why do they even need DTs? For the 5 runs a game?

I agree they have been better than they usually are (which isn't saying much), but you are cherry picking.

What am I cherry picking? It's an interesting stat that demonstrates they've been getting off the field when they need to lately, which has helped get them to 4-2. "Absolute garbage" defenses, particularly at Tech, don't do that.

I never argued that they are necessarily a good defense, or that they wouldn't like to have Fehoko back.

He is not the only one to promote himself on social media, most of them do it. Sometimes that leads to unrealistic expectations.

You picked the one defensive stat that they aren't terrible at.

Here are their defensive stats so far this year. Keep in mind that they haven't played OU and Texas yet.

97th in ppg
115th in ypg
116th in ypp

Yep and it was great. Both sides were allowed to play and it made the game more enjoyable. I loved that crew.

I think it means his performance at Texas Tech as a whole was underwhelming.

He probably still had a lot of developing to do when he got to Tech and he’s probably getting better coaching here. We also had his sit out year to work with him.
