I've been trying my hardest to avoid this because I'm really big on not comparing college kids who are just reaching physical maturity to Hall of Fame level professionals. I think I recall someone mentioning the same comparison for Marshall this past weekend during the broadcast so I feel a little more comfortable with what I've been seeing. Terrace Marshall is Julio Jones. He doesn't have a weakness other than the occasional drop and Julio had that same problem early in his career. For the life of me I can't remember anyone else who was a mismatch against any type of defense or db. He's got the size and ball skills to win jump balls and be a threat in the red zone. He's got the speed to be a deep threat. He's got the frame and chest to go over the middle and take the punishment. He attacks the ball and doesn't let it come to him which ironically led to most of his drops. He's got the feet, even at 6'4, to create separation with his route running when pure athleticism isn't enough. He can run the entire route tree from any spot on the field. It's incredible to watch and I think we don't appreciate how good he actually is because we've been spoiled with great receiver play for decades.

Marshall compared himself to Julio Jones just last week.

If you want to compare him to a great wr it would be AJ Green, rather than Julio. Julio is way more physical and Marshall is more polished. Both are great but when I think Julio I think a thicker and stronger receiver, where Marshall is thinner, a great route runner, better hands and I think Marshall will run sub 4.5. They do have similar personalities where they are great and not divas. They are both really grounded and have tremendous work ethic.

Bottom line, Marshall is his own man and will be excellent. He's got the height, speed, hands, and leadership abilities to be all pro at the next level. He could jump to the top receiver spot. The top will be either Chase or Marshall. The team will have to decide if they want a shorter stronger or taller smoother receiver. Both will be fast enough to be 1st round.

He reminds me Brandon Lafell. Or what Brandon Lafell could have been in this offense and with Burrow.

Marshall could be the best receiver playing college ball this year. No knock on Julio but marshal seems smarter with the ball and runs better routes.

Julio ran a sub 4.4 and will probably be in the NFL HoF. He's a high bar. Dunno if Terrace is that fast but he is having an amazing season.

He absolutely has near that speed. He’s a 4.4 guy at least
