if the roof was opened at NRG, the field would likely be flooded, humidity at 100%, and it'd be 100+ degrees on the field.

check the forecast fool. it's gonna be an ugly weekend in HTown.

70% chance of rain Saturday night. They better close the damn thing, Big 10 only beats SEC on a wet, slow field!

Every year the heat issue gets brought up. Every year the opposing team handles it just fine. These are 19 year olds. They don't feel heat. I don't seem to recall Oregon being any more fatigued than LSU was... maybe even less.

Wisconsin will not be effected any more than it just being the first game of the season type of fatigue.

You people are dumbasses.

Why would Oregon be fatigued by 72 degree weather inside a closed stadium?

The only time I remember opening day affecting players was the app st game in 2008.

So even knowing that the roof will be closed, some of you are still going with the "Wisconsin players won't be able to handle the weather"?

Are they keeping the roof open

Nope. 50/80 rule of thumb at NRG and even then it's a toss-up. It'll be 72F and comfy. And yes, the lights will be on unless they forget to pay the bill to themselves.

If they left the roof open at NRG in august, people would die

Hey, don't laugh, that walk from the team buses to the stadium three hours before kickoff can be a killer if you're not acclimated to this heat.

It's humid as hell up here in summer, and since the weather looks like it'll be in the 80s that won't be a big deal at all.

Know how I know you've never spent any time on the gulf coast?

1. 80 degrees is not a big deal for anyone in WI during summer
2. Nearly every day in mid to late August hits 90% humidity in WI

So what exactly is so foreign that only UW won't be able to cope? Especially INSIDE a close arena?
