I think the ranters really want to believe they are better than they are.
I've seen nothing from any of them to warrant any confidence in them.
Its the weakest we have been at that position in 30 years

Price and emery show flashes. Curry has a role. The talent is there. The utilization is not at this point.

If you are talking about the offensive line, I might agree.

Not sure how you come to that conclusion after they only had 16 combined carries.

Emery showed a lil something last week. Curry showed something last year vs sooners. TDP runs tough.

But yeah, there's no CEH, Fournette, or Guice on the roster that's clear.

ps - let me add, after last week Emery should have gotten the bulk of carries including the start. How he barely played, and only came in on passing plays designed to him, is beyond me. Makes no sense.

The constant switching doesnt give any one RB a chance to get into a rhythm

They have to pick one

The coaches have last year’s playbook, but they don’t know how to form it to different players. Emery is not CEH. He obviously doesn’t have hands like him. That means you have to find other ways to get him the ball. Hand offs tosses etc. We have no idea how to do that. We just run plays because they worked last year.

They seem to be working pretty well this year too. Offense isn’t keeping LSU from winning games.

I’m not criticising Curry, but the Sooners were playing pat-a-cake. The average ranter could have e over 100 yards that night.

I agree that the offense played well, but it’s not complimentary football. When the defense is struggling you’d like to be able to run the ball a little to keep possession. We have no idea how to do that.

Against cupcakes. Emory dropped 2 or 3 yesterday. They’re not great backs.

Better than the Ware/Ford combo

It’s so damn predictable. This is what I hate and what I see the biggest change from last year.

JE dropped one. Another pass almost got him killled.

He had over 100 yards last week on 12 or so carries, most of which occurred after contact. 75 yards receiving on 6 catches last week. 18 total touches for 175 yards. 4 carries yesterday and 2 targets. 6 total “touches”. We have serious problems on defense, which requires that we outscored our opponents. In order to outscored them we have to
Maximize efficiency and productivity , which requires that playmakers get max touches. JE is a playmaker. Give him 10-12 carries every game and watch what happens with the offense. There is a reason we bogged down on multiple drives. Some of it was play calling but a lot of it relates to personnel groupings. Not knocking Tory Carter as a player. He is a really good FB, but you can’t line him up in the slot and have him run slants and seam routes with the expectation that he will produce.

We controlled the ball for 30 minutes with several short fields.

Put Em in and leave the rest. He needs 20+ touches per game. Hes clearly the best all around option and the inky threat to break long ines
