The writer chose Spencer Ware over Guice.

Other than QB and TE it would be a pretty formidable team.

quote:

With all respect to Washington second-round pick Derrius Guice, we’re selecting a more known commodity as our second running back. As a change-of-pace to Fournette’s powerful style, the spell back will be Kansas City Chiefs tailback Spencer Ware. Ware missed 2017 with a knee injury, but rushed for a combined 1,324 yards and 9 touchdowns between 2015 and 2016, adding 452 yards and 2 touchdowns as a receiver.

quote:

Tight end is the only position where LSU doesn’t have a player on an NFL roster. To compensate, we’re running an offense with three wide receivers. That’s not a problem when you have Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry and Brandon LaFell.

Team NFLSU: Building a competitive NFL roster using only former LSU stars

Offense:

QB: Danny Etling
RB: Leonard Fournette
RB: Spencer Ware
WR: Odell Beckham Jr.
WR: Jarvis Landry
WR: Brandon LaFell
T: Andrew Whitworth
T: La’el Collins
G: Trai Turner
G: Vadal Alexander
C: Ethan Pocic

Defense:

DE: Danielle Hunter
DE: Davon Godchaux
DT: Kyle Williams
DT: Michael Brockers
LB: Kwon Alexander
LB: Deion Jones
LB: Kendell Beckwith
CB: Patrick Peterson
CB: Tre’Davious White
S: Tyrann Mathieu
S: Jamal Adams

quote:

At the other defensive end spot, we’ll stick Miami Dolphins youngster Davon Godchaux, who totaled 40 tackles in 15 games as a rookie in 2017. A versatile lineman who can play end or tackle, Godchaux will rove across the line in this defense.

No shite, he did. Kid was out there running designed QB runs with a bad back. I can't even roll over in bed when my back is messed up. There aren't enough words for me to express how much admiration I have for his toughness. He just wasn't blesses with the physical gifts the other players on the field were.

Just like a normal LSU team they will be limited by the QB play

Well, we haven't had many good QBs in college. Why would those guys somehow morph into good players in the NFL? BTW, there are only 32 starting NFL QBs. Only about 1/3 of those are good NFL QBs. Of those, they have gone to Purdue, Miami (OH), Boston College, NC State, Utah, Cal, etc. Slim pickings IMO.

All but two were Les Miles recruits. And all of them played at least 1 season under Les.

Well, Les Miles' first recruiting class was in 2005. Not a lot of active players are going to predate that recruiting class.
