The doc's have already said BC3 will be cleared to practice by the middle of next week, it's just a matter of pain tolerance for him.

Pain in hand surely doesn't inhibit a WR's ability, so yeah he should be fine.

How many other starters are out? 2 OLs? Talented nickle we kicked off our team? Who else?

Minor surgery. He'll be ok. Dude likes to catch with one hand anyway so he'll be fine haha.

Only projected starter we're missing is RT.

Hasley was taking most snaps w/ the 2nd string during camp so he wasn't projected to start this year.

Nickle is out too, even though he isn't in starting package right? So starting nickle, starting RT, backup OL, and backup LB that would get PT?

And WR having hand surgery?

Is that right?

Who is this starting nickel you keep referencing? Jenkins? He never played a down for TCU and barely even practiced with the 2 deep, so I don't really count that as much of a loss. He enjoyed doing hood rat things w/ his friends and got busted, end of story.

Starting RT yes (Fabuluje), 2nd string LG, and 2nd string LB.

For the 3rd or 4th time, Brandon Carter's surgery is a minor one, and he'll be on the practice field within a week, and will absolutely be starting come August 31st.

I'm no doctor but he should probably put it in a bag on some ice rather than tie it around his waistband...

People wait to see what may happen as the game gets closer. What if Mett got hurt or some players got suspended a day or two before the game? Although I must admit, LSU -4.5 right now looks almost like a certain bet.

Books are smarter than Joe Public

I think the -4.5 is a very sharp line and is a classic trap line to lead LSU backers like lambs to the slaughter.

Aside from the headline on one of the articles (and the headline writer isn't always the same as the reporter) it isn't clear when the surgery will be / if he is skipping it until after the game.

Any other sources that say when the surgery was / will be? I can't imagine any tendon / muscle work that would allow him back in practice next week. Is he getting a wart removed?

He already had his surgery. Was a minimal hairline-type fracture so they just went in, injected some of that handy bone cement ship, and as long as he can tolerate the pain (cortizone shots were my best friend when playing ball), he'll be back on the field by this coming Thursday at the latest.
