The direction given by the NCAA to the conferences (their refs) is to call it if even close.

I THINK it is up to the conference if it is an automatic review. The SEC, and I think every P5 conference, automatically reviews.

There is no 'burden of proof' standard as with such things like reception or or crossing goal line. Note I said 'standard' not 'rules':
- 2 camera angles show call is wrong: Overturn
- 1 camera angle shows call is wrong/right: call stands
- 2 camera angles show call is right: call confirmed

Spots and targeting are up to the eye of the beholder (usually with an A on his cap).

ETA: friendly reminder... one thing that keeps getting lost in all this is a hidden bias, we've seen it in action too (just recently vs. UF). When not automatic review, will the refs stop play to review something close.
