They refer to F. King Alexander as an "unforeseen circumstance" and extended the deadline.
Attached is your 2016 Football Seating and Tradition Fund application for the upcoming LSU Football season. You may use this form as a reference to pay online at www.LSUtix.net, via US Postal
Service or in person at the LSU Athletic Ticket Office during regular business hours. If you have any questions about your application or payment options, please do not
hesitate to contact our office at 225.578.2184 (local) or 800.960.8587 (toll free). A paper copy will be mailed in early-April.
Your 2016 Tradition Fund Balance is xxxxxx. Due to unforeseen circumstances, there has been a delay in sending this information and as a result the Tradition Fund deadline will be extended to April 19th. The TAF donation deadline will remain with the same deadline of March 31. If you have already paid, please disregard and keep for your records.
If you have a balance of zero (0) or (Due to TAF), please use this form as a reference for any seating changes. Please remember, all TAF contributions are billed separately and are due March 31.
Additionally, relocation requests are due by the extended April 19 date.
As always, thank you for your support of the LSU Athletics!

You misspelled "Tradition Fund" in your title.

John Bell Edwards told me not to pay this year bc i don't want to give off the wrong impression to you people.

JBE has made it very clear that football will not be around. I'm saving my money and instead, investing it in a new kitchen for my wife. Thanks, JBE!

this is my first year paying this myself, but what is the difference between the TAF donation and the tradition fund?

TAF = Tiger Athletic Foundation. They are a separate non-profit for the benefit of LSU Athletics. They have assisted in building/expanding Tiger Stadium with all 3 upper decks & suites/club.
Some people in these locations have TAF Fees related to their seats since the structure is technically owned/manged by TAF and not the athletic department.
Additionally, people contribute to TAF to boost their philanthropic priority point rankings for the purposes of selecting additional tickets for LSU athletics or away game seats.
Tradition Fund is funneled through the athletic department and is a per-seat required fee based on the location of the seat.

You could donate the money to the university. You know, the actual important part of LSU.

You could also keep your nose where it belongs. You know, out of other peoples financial affairs.

I haven't gotten the email yet, but I don't see F. King mentioned in your quote. Blame JBE and see below why.
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned here yet, but I listened to a webinar about the new taxes going into affect 4/1. Sporting event tickets are now subject to sales tax (Saints, Pelicans, LSU). Many other states already charge sales tax on tickets, and the face of the ticket will be listed as Admission - 47.62, sales tax - 2.38, total price of admission - 50.00. Will LSU do the same thing and leave ticket prices alone, or will last year's prices have an extra 5% sales tax added to it?

Not renewing this year. My 4 seats can go to someone else in South Endzone. Using the money instead on tuition for my son who is an out of state student at LSU.

I don't support the university any longer. Just the other day I saw some hippy SJW types, protesting Reggies and the university allows it! Not a single piss balloon was thrown their way. My wife got a new kitchen a few months ago but, she's a very particular woman and is not happy with it in its current state. JBE has assured me that LSU does not want my money for athletics, which means the university does not need the annual donation from TAF to the academics.

Definitely has bulked up....will it help?...Hopefully...
