With the enormous amount of coverage with the splash hire, all the publicity (good or bad) - this has to be worth way more than $10mm of value to the LSU “brand”, recruiting etc??

Definitely true. We’re 6-6 and they can’t stop talking about us. Recruits know what the media is about. Negative press won’t hurt recruiting at all. It may actually help us.

Didn’t Saban lose to UAB the first game in their new stadium, then they put up a plaque dedicating the first win there against LSU?

100% true because a majority is through TAF and boosters, the money is designated donated funds so it's there (not the entire contract, but at least a year)
Also only 4 mil total of the 100 m over 10 years is coming from "state funds"
400k for each year over 10 years and I don't know for a fact, but I suspect that is part of the money the athletic department gives back to the university each year, because the department is self sustaining

I just think the media buy for this type of coverage (again good or bad) would be well north of $10mm. All prime time talk shows, sports shows etc etc.

UAB’s new stadium is brand new now. I believe it opened this year. They played at Legion Field before.
And LSU has never played at UAB. UAB came to Baton Rouge & won in 2000.
