Gonna be the same scenario as last year. Ppl got shite to do thats already planned. Mainly hunting, but ppl down here are more family oriented so when plans are made w/ fam, ppl stick with em.

At game time, sure. I guess it's a good thing hurricanes never knock down trees, knock out power, or cause flooding that extends past the last rain drop...................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

It's not about rain, it's about staffing and resources.

This. Everybody scatters and stuff gets canceled around the storm area. Takes days to get re-settled. My money's on BR.

Agreed. What an idiot. No one is saying this game is going to be played during the hurricane.

The aftermath is the worst part and will be a nightmare logistically. But by all means, let's hope they keep the game there for convenience-sake for the 10,000 Florida fans that could possibly make it to the game. Back some generators up to run the speakers and jumbotrons

only in Louisiana and Mississippi can you feel the effects of a hurricane for days if not weeks after it passes

As soon as a hurricane passes in Florida, you're good to host a large scale event and accommodate thousands of people

I'm shocked there are so many Louisiana posters who think it's sunshine and butterflies the minute after a hurricane passes.

I'm not surprised at all....at all.

Sometime tomorrow. Last year for the USC game, the decision was made on Wed.

I hope the game stays in Gainesville. 11:00 game at either place will be miserable this time of year. FL doesn't need a hurricane and BTR doesn't need this game.
Remember if this game comes here this year our game next year goes there.

Half of this thread is just idiots posting crap like this and other people calling them idiots and reminding them of what a hurricane actually does besides rain.

I am totally expecting this game to be moved to BR because, just like last year for the SC game, I'll be at the St. George Fair with the family.

If anyone is curious, the SC game was Oct. 10. This game will be Oct. 8.
