Stingley sideline incident

Sorry if already posted, but what happened? The announcers said he had to be separated during a heated argument with someone? I’m guessing it may have been safeties due to the poor effort...again?

I think he was having a “pep” talk with our db’s

I remember the announcers saying something about it but they never showed it. My guess (complete guess absolutely no idea what happened) was Stingley tried to tell one of the dbs something about doing their job and they replied with something along the lines of frick you quitter, and then they got into it.

I was happy to hear he got fired up at another player because that's the type of leadership we need. These young players need to understand that there is a high level of play expected on every play and when you don't, you can expect to hear about it!

I hope he just went too far trying to get them fired up. I hate to think Stingley quit on the team. The word is he’s got a lingering injury, that’s what I’m going with until I hear otherwise.

I heard the same thing you did but no video of it. But in competitive situations stuff like that happens all time. Hell I can remember blowing up a lifelong friend of mine during a flag football game at LSU back in the day.

Mo Hampton blew a couple of long downfield completions
McGlothern, inexperienced, had his share of miscues but I see the raw talent to be great in the future
Losing Flott was horse dung
Living up to DBU is to maintain a very high level of excellence - not seeing it this year.
Love Stingley

It’s been pretty obvious Stingley is injured. No sense in pushing it this year.

Why do so many people think he quit? The guy made the trip. Suited up. Tried to go and couldn’t. He wants to be there. He wants to play. Judging by what the sideline reporter had to say, I think he got into someone’s face because it was right after a big play or drive for UF. He was probably telling them to get their shite together. They were probably pissed because they knew they got burned. So a “frick you leave me alone” altercation ensued. It sounded like he called a guy out and the guy, in the heat of the moment, was angry about it. For all I know, he told Ricks to stop fricking around and play.

But needs to stop it with the bullshite cockiness going into the endzone.

I just do not believe there is any way Stingley quit. That’s stupid fan talk. Dude wouldn’t play all season, battle a couple of injuries and an ER visit, then decide he’s not playing five minutes before the penultimate game.

Gordy said you could see he was hurt during warmups

Stingley didn’t quit. He was out there ready to go and in pregame warmups was clearly not 100%
They made the decision to rest him. I’m assuming the sidelines thing was him getting into it with the DBs. That happens.

I like the way he plays, but lord he’s slow. I don’t think he can be a starting corner at LSU unless he develops other-worldly bump and run skills.

It’s ridiculous how some of you fail to recognize how many times Stingley played hurt and limped through games. I’d say that’s not the sign of a quitter. WTF is wrong with some of you?

This year Flott is no more than a special teams player. He hasn't shown the speed at corner to play that position, hes been constant burnt toast. We don't win that game with him still in the game imo

After Sting's dad took a shot at Gilbert, there's no way Stingley quits. He's been playing on a bum ankle. He tried to give it a go in warm ups and the coaches said no. He needs to get healthy. That's all.
