Watching sportscenter and they just announced Spurrier is retiring, unknown if it's at end of season or effective immediately

Retiring now, he will not coach the rest of the season. According to SEC rant.

hated steve at his peak, but came to be a fan during his USCe tenure.

Kind of a lame way to out though steve, at least finish the season

You would have gotten an upvote had you been more... Respectful.

Dude is a legend. And it's not wrong to think the loss to LSU was the final straw that led to his realization coaching no longer brings much thrill like it has in the past.

It's somewhat disheartening. Going to miss seeing the OBC on the sideline.

LSU ended the careers of the Bear, the Head Ball Coach and whatever they called Petrino.

you almost could see it coming. He made sc a competitor in the SEC. It's going to be a great job for a coach to come in and establish a long career. God fans great facilities they will be ok

Now we feel sorry for the old coot, but he sure didn't feel sorry for us when he was kicking our arse at Florida.

After suffering through the 90s, it's only fitting.
