Lost a heartbreaker to Mizzou and did anyone else see the video of Mizzou's coach telling them they were the best team he's faced all year?

You didn't know they were good before LSU played them?

Outside of last year they'd been pretty good in recent memory with some big NCAA upsets

I guess you don't keep up with the NCAA tournament since they have made it like 3 consecutive years '14-'16 and even upset #3 seed WVU in 2016 and almost advance to the sweet 16.

If he is an LSU fan why should he keep up with the NCAA tournament. I don't except for the March Madness brackets but a couple weeks later I couldn't tell you 10 teams that made the tournament or who won.

If they had lost to LSU and then beat Missouri they would have made LSU look good.

Beating LSU does not make LSU look good.

We have no business losing to SFA! Johnny lost a few bad ones but nothing like this! Can't wait until conference play starts...

Really?!? I’ll just leave these here to see if you wish to reconsider that statement...
2014 Rhode Island L 70-74
2014 Old Dominion L 61-70
2015 College of Charleston L 58-70 (and this was with Ben Simmons)

Have a feeling you may be joking but if not Johnny Jones loss to much worse teams.

Rhode island was decent 23-10 advanced to 2nd round of nit.

2014 Old Dominion L 61-70

27–8 lost in semi-finals to Stanford in nit and was ranked for 1 week in the top 25.

I don't think anybody can defend this.

LSU should never lose to a Southland team. What is wrong with some of you? And stop bringing up Brad Underwood's SFA teams. He doesn't coach there anymore.

Most people who post here probably don't follow college basketball enough to know that lots of mid majors field pretty good teams.

...and that's how we know you're a dumbass.

SFA is a top 100 quality team. May not end up RPI top 100 because of schedule, but that is not a terrible loss. Certainly not as bad as many of JJ's fine performances.

You’re only further making the point. SFA will likely be an NCAA tournament team this year. He said Jones never had a loss as bad as SFA while coaching LSU. All 3 of the ones I gave were worse than the SFA loss, as evidenced by you stating that 2 of them were only NIT teams, which is likely the ceiling for this year’s LSU team. And he lost some of those games with more talented teams than this year’s.

My point, don’t make idiotic, hyperbolic statements (but of course this is the rant). And while many will say that losing to SFA is indefensible; I say it is basketball and these types of losses happen, especially for vastly rebuilding teams like LSU. Heck, UNC just lost to Wofford, at home, last night.

SFA beat St Mary's last year. You don't follow college basketball do you.
