Why is it that our fan base goes straight to worst case scenario EVERY frickING YEAR!?!?
Baseball is not football. It doesn’t hurt you to lose a few games. It’s also a unique game in which anyone can beat anyone on any given night. You can’t out muscle teams in baseball. At least not average to good ones.
What PM is doing with flipping the lineup is finding what works best for his team. Sometimes dudes are just BP Warriors and can’t translate it to games. Sometimes they’re just gamers and what you see in practice isn’t what you get on game day. It takes time to figure out who your top guys are and who you can rely on week in and week out. Especially with a team this young. So step back, breathe, and let things play out. This team will be in the post season again, and has a legit shot at a top 8 National spot. It will just take a little time for things in unfold.

We know. Starting threads like this just feeds into the idiots. Half of them are trolling. The other half is too stupid to understand this anyway. So, there is no point in threads like this.

Probably true. But it’s early, haven’t finished my second cup of coffee so I’m feeling a bit pissy. Figured I’d vent for a moment.

I agree with you 100%, Let it play out and we’ll be fine.
I want to see someone step up on the team and show some raw emotion to spark them when they need it.

Skip was 63 when he retired
Mainieri will be 63 after this season

Have to remember that will play out too. A lot of these kids haven’t had significant rolls before. They’re figuring each other out too. Someone will eventually step up.

Oh for fricks sake.
Skip is arguably the greatest in college baseball history. Comparing Mainieri is unfair to both of them. You’re part of the problem with our fan base. You expect Mainieri to be as good as Skip. Live in reality.

If Mainieri can’t take the heat he shouldn’t be in the kitchen cooking cheese fries like Smoke Laval.

Excuse me. I’m serious as a back surgery.

Wayne Graham was 82 when he retired. Maybe we will get lucky and have a hall of fame coach at LSU for 19 more seasons.
See, I can make stupid, pointless comparisons too.

Wayne Graham died in 2006.

Vanderbilt is just 3-2 on the year so far, batting .232, and the almighty Tyler Brown has blown 2 saves to the tune of a 10.12 ERA.
Vanderbilt will be just fine.
LSU will be just fine.
Vanderbilt will be just fine.
LSU will be just fine.

Not if they keep swinging at crap first pitches and continue to not know how to run the bases.

Way to show your ignorance. Would you rather us look at first pitch fastballs that are strikes and then start try to figure out the best of the AB from behind? The approach at the plate has been improved, even if we had one game where it didn't result in a bunch of hits.
And we get thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double one time, and we don't know how to run the bases?
Tell us more about what you are clueless about.

So old people die? That's ground breaking stuff.

When has this ever been the standard for LSU baseball?

LSU will be just fine.
All you Pumper Pukers really have to come up with something new.
How about adding something fresh and original to your arsenal of excuses for mid-week loses to yet another fine Louisiana Junior College.
The "We'll be Fine" BS is worn out and should be retired permanently.
