Wow, Pearl supporters on this thread. Yeah, these same fans think Miles is a disgrace, imagine if we have a known and admitted cheater running our program that paints his body orange during the girls games. I'm sure these same folks would just love him.

he wins

that what coaches are paid to do. The talk of TJ doing things the 'right way' reminds me of Crooms.

Basically you realize that nobody respects your opinion and you've resorted to seeking out other posters to come help you. How pathetic are you?

He's been to the sweet 16 with three different teams. Been coach of the year in three difference conferences. I think his success and ability to do it the right way, has been shown. But hey, the NCAA still hasn't even spoken on Pearl yet so you could be asking for a coach that places his program on probation. But yeah, at least he wins right? Because who cares if he sends them on probation. I mean, he wins.

Ends justifies the means? Ok, I'll keep that in mind.

Croom is a black coach. The similarities end there. TJ has been coach of the year in three different conferences.

I would take him over Pearl anyday. He has multiple major papers calling for his firing right now.

So Slive suspends him for a mere 8 conference games, the NCAA has yet to give the punishment, but you "know" already. Thanks for your insight NIH. Always love the rant posters that "know" so much.

I guess 20k posts in a short two years will garner that type of NCAA approval where NIH has the knowledge that all of us can only hope to attain one day.

And he has his team in the top 10. Quit making excuses for johnson. Chalk up another loss to a low tier school. Unacceptible.

not really

Crooms didn't win shite but it was ok because he was doing things the 'right way' compared to the previous coach. It's time for people to hold Trent Johnson accountable for the current product on the floor at LSU. it's year three...in a sport where a player or two can make a giant difference.

Curious...Do you consider Gonzaga a lower tier school? How about Georgetown or Marquette? Some schools are good at basketball because that's all they have.

i have common sense

there was no real big time cheating going on at UT...and it only blew up because Pearl shite himself and lied. he is and will be held accountable, not their program.

Criticize Johnson. It's fine. Just don't compare him to an admitted liar and cheater.

Pearl has been suspended for half the SEC season and had his pay docked $1 Million. I've never seen either of those things happen.

I'd rather take this than win and watch the program get the hammer dropped on us by the NCAA like it did 14 years ago and we weren't even winning at that time.

Yeah I know our previous coach was taken from Samford. What a basketball power. We get this guy from Stanford during the season he is coach of the year and goes to the sweet sixteen. But yeah, let's move in another direction because all of those other proven coaches that are just chomping at the bit to come here. Great idea. See Arkansas' current success right now and let me know about these great coaching moves that we can make.

I support Trent, but he will live or die on his ability to recruit. I haven't seen the team play this year yet, but this needs to be the last down year under TJ. If you can't get it done in year 4, that's a problem.
