We are okay with the stating 5 next year, but with limited depth who starts on the line next year? This is my projected line. Let me know who you would switch and why!

LT - Will Campbell
LG - Xavier Hill
C - Charles Turner
RG - Anthony Bradford
RT - Garrett Dellinger
Swing Tackle - Cam Wire
Swing Guard - Kardell Thomas

I actually don't feel as bad as I thought I would with next year's line as long as these guys keep taking some steps forward.

I wouldn’t expect Campbell to plug and play at LT freshmen year. Offensive line works a little different as the adjustment from high school is much tougher. I would expect him at a guard spot and then a gradual move to left tackle.

Take out will and put cam wire in. Offensive line is the spot you rarely see freshman insert in the starting line up cause they need to fill out and mature more than other positions

I would imagine Wire will leave if he doesn't start next year. I also think Emory Jones would start over Turner even though he isn't a center but he looks college ready physically and would be more than serviceable until we find a true Center.

Or we get a center in the portal for this class.

I think lt is dellingers. I could see wire sliding in to guard, turner will be at center and Bradford at rg. I think rt will be a battle between dummervil, Campbell, and honestly I could see Jones at least getting a look at tackle

I do t think wire will be benched. But yea it could be a good line. Especially if Brad Davis is as good of a hire as we think

I think they really like Garrett at RT, but he seems to be making huge strides early.

I’d expect our line to look something like this

LT: Wire, Campbell
LG: Campbell, Thomas, turner
C: Turner or Martinez, Turner
G: Bradford or Hill
RT Dellinger, Dumerville

Freshmen Oline need time to adjust, so don’t expect too much right away. They will grow and develop and get some pretty good minutes against subpar teams, so we will see them, but I don’t want freshmen blocking Bama’s dline

Can’t Hines come back for 1 more year too?

Freshman in 2018
Sophomore in 2019
Junior in 2020 but extra eligibility
Senior in 2021 with extra Covid year available

We have no idea what the OL Will look like next year but if Wire is still here which he should be then he will start somewhere as the veteran. I’d imagine Dellinger gets a spot too if he’s already the 3rd tackle. The rest is up in the air but there’s talent coming in this class and we might take a transfer as well.
