Read this on Dandy: "Orgeron also confirmed that Adrian Magee will start once again at right guard, meaning this will likely be the first time this season that LSU uses the same five starting lineman as the week before."

So, our worst OL performance of the season will be the first one all season that we will get to see twice. fantastic

ETA: some are taking this too seriously. I'm making a joke about how it's ironic that the one time our OL doesn't change at all is right after its worst performance. Saahdiq charles hopefully will be healthier, so that should be a big difference

You should cry about it, that’ll help.

Florida has a shite load of NFL dudes and Magee had some missed assignments.

Do you honest to god think you know more than James Cregg about offensive lines?

I think the biggest problem was scheme early on when we had an unbalanced look to the right and Florida sent blitzers off the left without any RBs to help pick it up.

If the ball wasn't immediately thrown, it was a sack and it led to our first fumble when we were on our way to at least a 10-0 lead.

At some point you have to have some continuity. I think the best 5 we can put out there are the 5 that started against Florida. Magee & Charles just happened to be coming off injury and havent worked beside each other this season at all so it was rough sledding first game there.

Magee also will be LG, Dandy had that part wrong. Damien Lewis is RG.

UGA doesnt have the edge rushers UF has, so that should help some. I am expecting a night and day performance difference from the OL this week vs. last.

This is a misplaced complaint.

It’s a little different playing on the road in the swamp where you can’t hear anything, than playing at home in tiger stadium. I guarantee they have a better showing this week.

Georgia having at least one or two defensive linemen out for the game should help as well.

It was guys that rarely played. It would be like us losing Farrell and Thomas

This is a misplaced complaint.
Indeed, it is.

Couple of notes:
- yeah, the left side (and C) were either coming off injuries and/or still injured. And not just "banged up" either.

- If they think that the best 5 OL is with Magee at LG, that means Deculus is progressing nicely. I'll take this opportunity to throw a silver lining in there. Magee was in a slight lead over Deculus and Traore in the fall camp.

- I can't think of a better 5 at this time... give us Ingram back, different story. But right now given Hines' inexperience this is it.

- With the above point in mind, our greatest chance of success (as limited as it is) is to get those 5 on the field and try to build some continuity as fast as possible. It was NOT there many times in UF game.

- Like it or not, we're going to have to run the ball more. I'm thinking 7-12 carries more a game. That's because of the health of those 5; run blocking is easier (and more fun), and less exposure of the lower legs (quit standing around piles!).

- Above point, that means we'll have to throw more on 1st downs, dink and dunk maybe. If we can get short 3rd downs, we can run more and be more successful moving the ball. And if we go beyond dink and dunk, then we don't have to worry about 3rd downs at all AND it will loosen up the ground game on 2nd down.

Hence the reason it is so important for an offensive line to play and gel together!

The momentum changed when we started going to the unbalanced line with the Jet sweep action. The oline was holding up pretty well before Ensminger went full retard and changed the offensive philosophy mid way through the first quarter. Once this happened the entire offensive side of the ball loss confidence.
