I hope he earns a spot and I trust Chavis to make that decision, not Miles.

You know they don't play favorites right?

I trust both... and they might play favorites, but they want to win more. My point was simply to bring up the fact that a guy who saw a good bit of playing time in big games as a freshman, wasn't even on your position battle. Just struck me as odd

Kwon will be an all-American if he stays healthy. Freak of nature.

We have all been waiting for this kid to come around and it doesn't look like it is going to happen.

I know - just meant to comment that I'm guessing
Armand can outleap Dural.

QB- All Metts. Every coach always says its an "open battle" in the spring. All Metts.

RB- Hill and Blue. Nothing to see here. We know what we're getting. McGhee makes an impact in the passing game. Curious to see if Hilliard has gotten stronger and firmed up a bit. Hopefully got a little faster too.

WR- Odelle and Jarvis. Can Dural practice yet? Even if he can't, I don't see Avery Johnson getting a lot of PT next season. Leslie, on the the other hand, will earn his spot. Excited about the trio of Leslie, Jarvis, and Odelle.

TE- Dickson/ Gordon will battle of out. Once Smith gets here, he will be the receivingTE. Might as well use him like Graham, who I consider a WR more than a TE.

OL- Collins, Alexander, and Turner have there spots locked up. Who beats out Potter for C? And depending on what Collins pays, who plays next to him?

DE- Rasco is the only 1 I'm pretty sure has a spot locked up. Hunter, Allen, and Thomas will battle it out.

DT- Freak and Ego have the starting spots, but who turns into that highly coveted and extremely important 3rd DT that rotates in and gives the starters breathers?

LB- Barrow at MLB, Kwon at SLB, Debo at WLB. Doubt Tahj Jones was "promised a spot". Think Kwon and Debo are both already better than him. Plus, in major college football who promises a guy who was average at best a starting spot after he was suspended an enitre year?Feist and Louis will rotate in.

CB- The Jalens have it locked up. Interested in seeing how Thomas and Raymond have progressed. I still see the Jalens being the true CBs in the fall, but we run so many DBs on the field that White gets a lot of PT. Don't see White taking Collins spot. Collins will have a huge breakout year and will impress a lot of people. Not sure why some people aren't very high on him, but I think he will be the next great DB from LSU. VERY PHYSICAL.Chavis has been grooming him for 2 years for this season and Collins will shine IMO. When we go nickle I see Mills moving to the inside spot at CB with White and Collins on the outside.

Safety- Ronald Martins spot to lose. With Lostin at SS. Eugene will have a good spring and I think he will be used just like he was last year. Blitzing and spying on other teams big threat. Thompson makes strides and earns a lot of PT. So will Sandolph. The future looks great at S with Eugene, Thompson, Sandolph, and Marting.

Special Teams- Kheen replaces Wing... Who becomes our kicker?

Thank goodness it's spring football. I heard enough of baseball already.
