#6 looks better. Mechanics need work but he's a better passer and runner from the looks of it. But too soon to make a call, I suppose.

Listen closely after Neighbors gets knocked down late
"frick you! frick you!" who says they don't care about the spring game?

Mobile link is just as an interview. Is there something else?

He does. Seems much more decisive and his throws have more on them than Jennings. He's also a better runner. Still a long way to go but I think Harris will be a future star whenver his time comes

I can't wait to cheer for #6 at qb again. Although we weren't yet elite, Rohan's days at qb were my favorite

Agree. There's a noticeable difference in arm strength too. I think AJ's arm is too weak for the touch throws which is a killer if you make a bad read. Harris seemed to be able to drill it and lob it over too. Excited to see him compete. May the best player win the job.

Jennings two picks were bad. He didn't even see the defenders. Dural will be beastly this year.

Neighbors was cursing because his teammate took a cheap shot on him! Totally uncalled for!

That 2nd pick of Jennings was totally on his arm. He floated it out there and it hung to be picked off. He won't survive in the SEC like that. Also, I'm not certain Jennings 1 game+ of experience will play a big factor. I mean you'd think he'd have the leg up based on practice time in the system but the coaches willingness to swap them out and make sure Harris got plenty of time with 1's shows that its a totally open competition for either of them to step up and claim.
Lets be honest, 1 game or so of real time experience probably doesn't put a ton of separation between the two. If Harris plays better, he should be the starter. We would all be wise though to temper our expectations. The SEC is the toughest conference and both QB's are extremely young and raw. There will be a learning curve for sure. This was an unfortunate time to not be opening up with a cupcake game or two.

Jennings will probably start and by the end of the season Harris take over full time. It'll be a "future looks bright" kind of year.
re: spring game highlightsPosted by siliconvalleytiger on 4/5/14 at 5:04 pm to Lsuhoohoo
They're both essentially freshman. Jennings' limited experience really hasn't given him the leg up. Neither of these guys is going to light up the SEC this year. The defense better have progressed enough to carry the team.

Harris can spin it!

Ok...none of us should invest a lot of faith in the results of a spring scrimmage.

give me Harris, there's probably not much of a disadvantage to playing him over Jennings at this point.
