As a Rummel grad; I feel for your boy, Mudbone. I hope he’s able to suit it up for the Tigers the next three years.

Although, if he goes pro early; I don’t see how anyone could blame him after his college experience.

I wish him nothing but the best.

And Geaux Tigers, Raider Pride!

The thing that bugs me above all else is what my Dad used to tell me Muddbone - he drilled it into me . He’s say , you can do a lot of things to a man , but NEVER mess with a man’s livelihood. IMHO , when the punishment is so much worse than the crime, that’s a shame. But when you inhibit a guy’s ability to pursue his unique gifts that he needs to develop to making his living, it becomes draconian and completely against the spirit of the original rule. A lot of us out here support you Mudbone, while you support your boy . Good luck.

Well said. Amazing the exceptions certain players are given and in some cases those are criminal charges, forget NCAA. Yet, nothing happens. :SMH"

Mudbone I admire you not letting your son get trashed for a mistake, and also for challenging the hypocrisy that is the NCAA. I’m sure Bahnsen has been a detriment as well

That's the part I find so crazy, he didn't tamper with the "submitted" test they got the "actual" sample... it's just crazy to get punished that harshly for "strongly" considering cheating, and then changing your mind.

This story pisses me off so much. a 2 year ban for almost cheating but then not and passing the test. NCAA can go frick themselves. Good luck on the appeal hoping for the best mudbone.

This guy gets suspended for two years for faking a drug test but Oregon State goes to Omaha with a kid diddling pitcher.

Good job NCAA. Good job.

This would qualify you as a douche. Two years? More severe than professional sports? Half of a college career? That’s beyond severe!

A year suspension is enough.

You only get suspended a game if you fail multiple tests with your own urine(ware, simon, etc vs Auburn)

Hell honey badger had failed 10 or so before he was hit with a year suspension

Thats an LSU issued drug test, not an NCAA test

Claiming ignorance of the law is never a good idea, nor does it often work.

Did he or did he not sign paperwork indicating he had been advised by the LSU compliance department of the penalties for failing or tampering with LSU and NCAA administered tests? He agreed to play by the rules and then violated them.

And he isn’t helping himself by pissing 33% hotter for weed in April 2018 than he did in 2017. That doesn’t seem like someone who is truly contrite.

The fact that an 18 year old is punished more severely than a professional is good enough for me. That's ridiculous and needs to be changed. Half year to a full year should be good enough punishment in these cases.

You hear worse stories being let go by the NCAA. He's a kid that didn't know better. Let it go NCAA! He's a good kid and shouldn't be punished like this for a simple mistake or misunderstanding. I assure you if it were a USC, Bama, Ohio State, or Michigan kid that this would be brought back and resolved like it should for any kid.

I’m not compliance. Just someone who went 4 years as an athlete at LSU without failing or tampering with any tests.

No one said he “failed” a test. I was just pointing out the levels of THC in his piss are higher in April of 2018 than they were in February 2017 when he had admittedly smoked 2 days before the 2017 test. That ain’t 2nd hand smoke.

It’s well below the limit so why does that matter?

LSU has tested him 30 damn times and detected weed once. Get off your high horse man.
