Keiland Williams, Charles Scott, Richard Murphy, Trindon Holiday (if he is back from the Olympics)and Steven Ridley combined are better than Joseph Addai.
Addai was a workhorse for us, but he never had outstanding stats or anything of that sort. Guys like Keiland Williams especially have the potential to put up insane numbers.

They all seem like solid backs.. just none of them so far have been huge stand outs
Keiland's the only one who has hit double digit carries in a game(once) and he had a solid game against VT I remember.
I just don't think this group will do a whole lot this year, especially with defenses being able to focus on them with the QB situation.

Kind of had a workhorse in front of them named Jacob Hester...

That's where you are mistaken, against your team they will have holes so big that my grandmother could get through them and she uses a walker.
You seem to think we are just pulling somebody out of the student section to play QB. If you or any one else trys to stack the box we have the WR's QB and OC to make them pay.
I promise.

our team that wasn't nearly as good 3 seasons ago as today and were only down 2 scores going into the 4th...it wasn't quick then.
Besides being 3 seasons ago and vastly improved, the difference is this is going to be the first game of the season with a completely healthy team, back then it was in the middle of the SEC season and LSU had a big game with Bama the following week, we want have a big SEC game look ahead to distract...

granted your team has mostly changed since then also.for better or worse im not sure though.
Are you serious?

Just Ask Chad Henne about Pierre Banks sacking him or Leanard Love picking him off. You don't really think Jarrett Lee or Hatch will be as good as Henne with all that great experience they have?
Other SEC defenses won't take your starting QB seriously this year which will give him an opportunity that we don't yet know if he can take advantage of.whoever it ends up being

Dead serious
WR Early Doucet
LT Andrew Whitworth
WR Craig Davis
QB JaMarcus Russel
RB Joseph Addai
DT Claude Wroten
LB Ali Highsmith
SS 16 Craig Steltz
FS 30 LaRon Landry
these guys are all superior In my opinion to the guys you have this up coming season at their respective positions

We could pull an Arkansas (or rather, I guess I should say a Houston Nutt) offense and run the ball 80% of the time and end up with great numbers from those backs. Teams keyed in on our run several times last year and we still burned them.
And you act like Jarrett Lee won't ever throw the ball or be a threat to throw the ball. He's young and inexperienced, but so was Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford, and they turned out alright their RS freshman years starting. Both put up over 3000 yards. I don't expect Lee to throw up 3000+ next year (a lot due to I believe we'll use 2 QBs), but I expect we'll still pass the ball 25-35 times a game. It's not like Lee is terrible, or not-talented.
We don't need a very talented QB (even though Lee has some good talent). We just need a QB to not make mistakes and get the ball to the playmakers through the short passing game (screens included). Which really isn't all that tough. Even Casey Dick managed to do that without much trouble last year. If Casey Dick can do it, I don't have much doubt in my mind Lee can do it.

This could be true, If Michigan had that mentality they probably would have beaten us I think. I guess when Hart got hurt they had to get away from it though.

Just like you coulda, woulda, shoulda beaten Arkansas and Kentucky. the only reason you got anywhere near a Nat championship game with 2 losses is because of all the upsets at the end of the season. if it was settled with a playoff I personally think USC would have won it all
Neither of those SEC teams could beat LSU in regulation, it took Triple Overtime. So, LSU "Got Lucky" 2 times in 5 years? USC needs fans just like you.

This may sound arrogant, but the biggest mismatch in this game is obviously in the trenches. Our offensive line (being a very good, veteran group) will open up some massive holes for our RBs. In all seriousness we should have zero trouble racking up over 200 yards rushing against your defense if we run the ball 40+ times. Which I expect to see a heavy dose of.

a loss is a loss, and a shared Nat championship is like kissing your sister. I wish you could have just played USC that year playoff style.

And I bet you were like many others the year prior that thought the same thing wondering how LSU would do in losing 4 1st rounders alone...
LSU is deep, very deep...App. will find out soon enough...

I agree, Michigan basically did it. I just hope the Defense can make enough stops for our Offense to be in striking distance or leading

Have you seen any LSU's QBs play? You also are assuming you have some "Inside knowledge" about LSU's running game?

I would say its a safe bet that who ever wins the starting job this year is not as good as the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft a year ago.
not really going out there on a limb.

I wouldn't know about that, but apparently you do..
Just for laughs slAppy, when did the current "Overtime" rules go into affect?

He doesn't have to be.
Our 11 on offense, plus our depth, has to be better than your 11 on defense and whatever depth you bring, straight up for four quarters. And vice versa. That's all that really matters and I don't think there is any legit debate that it won't be.

Did you play Michigan for your Division 1AA Title you keep talking about? Interesting rings you had made..

It was what most remember the season for I suppose, so they put it on the side. id rather have that on the side than the final score of the blowout Delaware game.
