Chiefs just released Kareem Hunt and all signs point to Ware being the feature back for the rest of season and probably the playoffs.

Hunt has not been released yet. He is exempt from playing upon completion of an investigation. He will not play this weekend

Chiefs just announced he was released, said he lied to them about the incident (doubtful) and after seeing the video they cut him.
What actually happened......they knew exactly what happened in February and when no charges were filed they hoped it would go away without anyone finding out.
