It's both in this case. O picked Bo. O is a defensive line coach.

Good lord the greatest season of all time is going to be downgraded to the largest drop of all time!

Once Bo said we're running a 4-3 he should not have been hired.

You run a scheme to the players you have. Not force players into a scheme.

And yet he continues to sit behind less productive players

A good coach uses the players they have and puts them in positions to be successful.

Aranda made due with what was in the cupboard while recruiting what he wanted.....sure is a lot of attrition over a little scheme.

If you're somehow tying this season into last and having any negatives rob you from the high of the greatest season in college football history, thats a you problem. It's not downgrading anything except your memory.

Defense playing poorly & mostly due to lack of communication, Ika transferring mid-season and we’re about to lose an LSU lock in Sage Ryan to Bama...somethings definitely wrong and Pelini is the new guy...this is on him, I’m afraid!

Sopsher never stepped on the field for them and they aren't allowing conference record number of yards and points.

A distinction without a difference. Sopsher was more highly recruited.

He was hired because O wanted to run a 4-3, they didnt find out what his scheme was during the interview process. Holy crap people, come on

He’s a nose tackle you imbecile. We run a 4-3 now

Who was the highest graded interior defensive lineman this year in said 4-3 per PFF, so now who's the imbecile?

So some are happy a guy is leaving because he didn't fit this scheme yet when he's played in it no other interior defensive lineman has done any better than him, cant make this up

Shelvin wouldn't have opted out and Ika would not be in the portal had Aranda stuck around. They would both be excelling right now and our defense would be better overall. But, Aranda chose to leave and O chose to replace him with a guy that runs a defense poorly suited to nose guys like Shelvin and Ika. I'm not putting the blame on anyone, it just is what it is at this point. For what it's worth, I think Bo's defense will work once they figure out personnel and the players can handle the calls - plenty of talent there and a scheme that should work if executed.

What it's doing is wasting that momentum.

It’s BS! Benching him even though he made plays. Not surprised. Bad coaching.

And he needed a true 3-4 NT so bad they tried to get Valentine in here time and time again...they finally got one (last year) and I'll still argue that Shelvin was as valuable as anyone in that Bama game.

There's an enormous difference between happy he's leaving and just being able to understand it without being shocked

Where? On message boards???? Because it certainly isn't hurting recruiting.
