You can apply any of LSU'S sports to this... On a close or "bad" loss, this board is insufferable/unreadable at the end of the game or about 2-3 hours after.

Then sometime about 6-8 hours later, after folks has time to process, drink, think, whatever cooler heads seem to prevail and make great posts or excuses about that game/ or the team.

Anyway just a random thought, and I believe this Tiger BB team will play toe 2 toe with any team in the country. Will they win? Stay tuned....

Depth is the problem right now which leads to lazy defense down the stretch.

See ya Tuesday Night. Geaux Tigers

That most posters give too much credit or blame coaches for the outcome of games.

There were several posters today saying fans should “punish” the team by not attending any more home games this season.

Think about that! Punish the team for losing to a ranked team on the road when all the calls by the refs went against us BY ONE POINT IN OVERTIME.

Most of the posters on here don’t know shite about sports. They see wins and losses and make assumptions without knowing what’s actually taking place in the games.

I was pretty hard on Wade because of the effort Wednesday and I believe the mistakes at the end of the game today should have been corrected by now. BUT, the man is doing one hell of a job and the team deserves our support. It's okay to be mad about the loss and still happy about the season and direction of the program at the same time. People that aren't happy about the job this guy has done overall are dumb.

I'll never understand why losing a damn ballgame incites such immaturity in people on this site. Those players are playing to win. They don't owe any of us anything. They are probably twice as disappointed in losing as any nut job who whines and berates them after a loss. Yet, many on here act as though losses occur just to piss the "deserving" fans off.

That's about as shitty of a post that a person can post here. I get being upset about this loss. But, after a SEC Championship and a Sweet 16 appearance, that's some bullshite to say something like that.

It is.

There was a thread started right after the game ended which was titled “Boycott the next home game” or something similar to that. I can’t find it now so I suspect it got whacked. But the thread about “this team still deserves our support” (Here) was started as a reply to the whacked thread, I think.

The whacked thread’s OP was the one which said fans need to punish the team to make the team wake up.

The 8 pm tip-off will do a good enough job of that

This same guy (LINK) has several posts saying he can’t support the team any more or fans should stop supporting the team.

And basketball is probably the least of "the know".

Even just a few years back we had like 20 posters talking basketball. Now everyone on tRant is an expert.

I like the bandwagon because of the interest, but it is frustrating.

Great post, and great observation. I was at defcon 4 or whatever the saying is in the final minutes of regulation, and overtime. We dominated, and should have had a good win to hang our hats on for the week. I was ready to post end of the world, zombie apocalypse type shite, but I said, nah, I have crap to do. Can't let that stuff consume me. Now, after I've had time to think about it. It isn't the end of the world. The cup is still half full. We should have beat the fake Tigers, and we had them beat. But in the end, we beat ourselves. And that is something we can fix. There is still time to get our heads right to make a run. Wade is sleepless tonight thinking about it. I believe he will get the amazing pieces we have working right.
