Thank the good Lord for Smith and Landry.
Same old tired line up. This has to the the most stubborn staff in history when it comes to getting the best hitters in the game. Kloss and Simmons may have gotten better but Griggs and a few others have flat lined or gone backwards.
This love affair with Griggs in CF and leading off has to end. It is apparent to anyone other than our staff that she should be out. Put Andrews in CF and Dawson in LF and let them get on base.
Then why is she still playing if she is behind? These line ups have become a joke. We have four starters hitting below .200 in SEC play.
Earth to staff: Be creative and make some changes.

we have seen substantial difference in our offense. Keep in mind, we have a lot of freshman playing... Go look at Kloss and Simmons numbers when they were freshman,

Sanchez doesn't have a lot of experience either and is behind due to treatments in the fall

So it begins
So what are we going to do? Bench Springfield, Doyle, Sanchez and everyone else who isn't hitting? Only Jaquish, Landry, and Andrews are the only ones who can hit right now.
Also my comment was directed towards the true freshman who are struggling a lot right now not Griggs and everyone else

But you're saying take out Sanchez when her replacement would be someone batting worse in SEC play.

She had a hit this game and had some nice ones last weekend, what are you talking about? She has actually had much better at bats lately, if you watch the games you can definitely tell that she has looked much better

I'm saying how about we try something different. Why is that so odd?
Bait seems to believe we should just continue to bang our head against the wall and do nothing different.
Landry, Jaquish, Andrews and Dawson have our highest OBPs and Averages. Mix it up, try something different instead of running out the same exact thing over and over and expecting a different result. Dawson hasn't started consecutive games this season. Experiment, see if she can spark us long term like she almost always seems to do short term. Try Andrews at the top. Be creative.

Complete BS, I have stated multiple times I would like to see some adjustments at the top with Andrews there. I still think Satchell deserves to see some looks at DH.
I agree we need to make changes but some of our issues go through 3/4 of the lineup so you can't just bench everyone

But we are. Doyle, Springfield, Dawson, Walljasper has all played in the last two games. Andrews starts so I'm not sure why she's even coming up in your complaining. You're kinda just bitching to bitch. The Sanchez complaint, when Doyle is doing worse, is a shining example of that.

Great, DH her. Do something different.

No freshman have had better SEC at bats that Andrews and Dawson. Go with it, move Andrews to CF and lead off get Dawson at a position so you can try Satchell at DH. Dawson is clearly one of our best 9 hitters right now.

Dawson has not started consecutive games this year. How about we try to build off of some of her success. She has had very good at bats the last month.

Because she is a far superior option at the top and in CF than Griggs. Are you saying that you believe Griggs is better in CF and lead off than Andrews?

Really, so we have tried Doyle at 3rd to see if it makes a difference? We have been trying all options to jump start these players? Umm, no, we haven't.

10 pages for a softball game is pretty awesome

They usually pick up in sec play.

Just like Jana Tidwell's horrific umpiring shows up at the wrong time, here Ashlyn shows back up to bitch again. Can we just enjoy a win without the complaining and nitpicking every coach's decision?? Can you let us just enjoy tonight? Please?

We were doing so good too
Maybe next time!
Lets kick arse tomorrow.

Yep, it's easier to complain about me than address the obvious. I like how the points I make about Griggs and the lack of creativity of the offensive staff are never addressed in return because I am 100% correct and you can make no response. It's easier to attack the messenger.
Good work guys, way to use your softball expertise.

That's not what I'm saying...
I'm saying give us a little time to enjoy the win first. Discussion in your complaints about our team and coaching staff can wait a little while, can't it? Or are you that hell bent to get your point across...
As a coach, I put in a rule about our games that has worked very well... parents do not speak to me about concerns right after a game. If there is a concern, it can be discussed the next day when cooler heads usually prevail. Maybe you should think about that...

Plus, I believe that I haven't discussed the line up or playing time about any player at any time and I don't plan to. I will defend our players and staff when provoked. As I've said many times before, my role as an alumnus, diamond backer, season ticket holder is to cheer for the Tigers, no matter who is in the game and no matter who the coaches are.
So don't drag me into your argument.

You dragged yourself into it by allowing my name to come off of your lips and into your post.
If you want to debate me about line ups and situations I am open for it. If not, stay out of it. I don't "provoke" to create discussion. I am often attacked for having a opinion different from the know it alls on this board, the self proclaimed insiders. I'm often proven correct as I was with Andrews and have been with Dawson. Truth hurts and the pumpers hate it.

Again you don't understand my point! Yes, I did call you out and I would do it again. But I didn't do it to complain about your reasoning, but to complain that you need give everyone time to digest and enjoy the victory.
That's all... I have more important things to do today like move my mother's furniture to her new home at the Memory Care center. I'm out for the rest of the day

I wouldn't say you're a proven right when it comes to Dawson and Andrews not just yet. I think Andrews is proving herself and I think Dawson has done a good job in the limited time that she's been given it but it is a small sampling however I do believe that Dawson deserves to be played more to see exactly what she can do. I feel that Walljasper is not a hitter and they should stick to pitching with her
I also agree with you that it's time to take Griggs out of the number one spot however removing her from center field I don't think is a very good decision.
Why don't we put Doyle at 3rd in Springfield at first and hit Nikki Dawson I would actually bat Landry first Andrew's or Griggs second and the other one bat 9.
So the lineup would look like Landry Andrews Jaqjish Doyle Dawson Sprinfield Quinn Serrett Griggs
I think that line up gives you the best offensive chance and doesn't hurt your defense at all
