So would LSU have won an SEC championship this year if Drew Lock was our quarterback?

He lit it up for Missouri this season. 42 touchdown passes and counting. That’s an SEC single-season record.

I would need to go back and watch more Mizzou games, and I'm not doing that. Gut says yes though. Worth at least a TD more in the 1st halves of Moo St and Troy, which would have made all the difference.

Would we be running the air raid. Either way, I would say no.

Maybe. But definitely if we had Hurts as our QB we could have.

Absolutely. We beat Bama this year with good qb play no doubt. We still may have lost to Mississippi State but who cares they suck and we’d be ahead of them

Quite possibly. I think we beat Bama, but State and Troy whipped us at the LOS, so we still probably lose at least to State.

That would put us at 1 loss.

We beat bama this year with Ridley swapped for Chark.

And I LOVE Chark!

Ridley catches, or gets PI called, on at least two of the three long balls Chark missed or misjudged.

Game changer.

Would LSU be in the CFB if Baker Mayfield was our QB?

Hurts is not as good of a passer as Etling. He has the luxury of not having to face some of the situations that Etling and other passers have been placed because they don't have Alabama' line nor their defense to keep them in good field position placement.

Down 21-17 4 minutes to go with the ball on your own 20 against a good defense ( LSU, Auburn, Wisconsin) I would prefer Etling over Hurts needing to drive 80 yards.

Maybe. He has played a lot of football for them. 42 tds is no joke regardless. I’d have to think he would have been money on at least half of the big passing plays that Etling underthrew. Easily completes a few more routine passes that would sustain drives where Etling did not. Hindsight is 20/20 tho.
