We could check the schedule for the dates of the midweek games and then search The Rant on those days and this same kind of thread would probably be there every time. Yet, here we are in first place in the West and ranked in the top 10. We are near the top of the conference in batting in SEC games.

PM’s pitching decisions blow my mind.... I get Hilliard with his arm soreness but Trent looked very good and could’ve gone the distance. And if you’re going to pull them put in some guys that usually don’t pitch to get some experience.. and then you have the batting woes that we’ve had all year! They need serious help in that department or down the stretch it could get ugly
Edit: and I get it’s a midweek game and in the past weekend series we’ve stepped it up and played well but it would be nice to see them not play down to their opponents and take care of business. But this is their Biggest game in their stadium and they came to play and we did not

Midweek games, quite literally, don't fricking matter.
We are 8-4 and tied for 1st in the SECW. That matters. We lose a series we shouldn't and then I'll worry.

They counted last year. If they win 3 or 4 of those midweek games last year they’re sitting with 40+ wins and don’t get sent to Corvallis.

This game ultimately doesn’t mean a whole lot right now but getting no hit through 6 innings against southern should be a little concerning.
