Four likely scenarios if UF wins next weekend:

1) LSU wins out beating Bama and UF in the SEC title. LSU clearly in.

2) LSU beats Bama but loses to UF in SEC title. LSU still has a solid chance because their only loss is to a 1 loss SEC champion who they beat before.

3) Bama beats LSU and beats UF in the SEC title. Bama in and LSU has a solid chance since their only loss is (presumable #1) Bama on the road.

4) Bama beats LSU and loses to UF in SEC title. Interesting decision for the committee here. LSU has 1 loss and H2H over UF. Bama has 1 loss and H2H over LSU. UF has one loss and H2H over Bama. LSU could still sneak in given the quality of their wins (especially if Auburn beats UGA or Bama) and if they can keep the game in Tuscaloosa close. Still a solid enough shot for LSU imo.

If Georgia wins next weekend (and assuming they subsequently beat Auburn):

1) LSU wins out beating Bama and UGA. In.

2) LSU beats Bama and loses to UGA. Still maybe in. H2H wins over UF Bama Auburn and Texas. Likely strongest group of wins in the country.

3) LSU loses to Bama and Bama beats UGA in SEC title. Still maybe in if game in Bama is close.

4) LSU loses to Bama who loses to UGA in SEC title. LSU clearly out imo. 1 loss UGA is in and 1 loss Bama is in too due to H2H over LSU.

So that leaves 4/4 scenarios where LSU could get in if UF wins and 3/4 where they could if UGA wins next week. Thoughts?

I don't know who is going to win the cocktail party, but Auburn is going to beat UGA.

Are you assuming only one SEC team gets in? Because I think with Oklahoma losing, Notre Dame laying an egg, and the Pac12 being as weak as ever the SEC will have as good a shot of getting two in as they ever have before.

Florida will beat Georgia. We will win out and leave no doubt. Bama will prob get in some kind of way.

Methinks GA easier to beat in SECCG than FL. Go Dawgs...

Ehhh they’ve been on that stage the past two years and it’s basically a home game for them

I’d rather play UGAs shitty offense in the sec ship than a rematch with Florida with their 2 best DL back

I generally agree with this.........BUT being behind enemy lines, the thought of having the opportunity to beat Florida TWICE in the same season would be a dream come true. Especially if UF went into the game 11-1 with a chance to make the CFP.

I was pulling for Florida before your analysis. If we're 12-0 going into Atlanta, I don't want any surprises. I feel very confident that we beat Florida worse the second time.

Plus we've never played Florida in Atlanta. A new matchup would be nice.

Yep.

And it’s hard to beat anybody twice.

Nice name.
