This is the only way to shine a spotlight on what is happening and effectuate real change. I trust we could get help from other schools hosed by the SEC to join the fight. There is no way the majority of the other SEC schools do not feel the same way.

In the interim, it is time to kick Alabama’s arse on the field.

Carville is an unhinged mad man. Take what he says with less than a grain of salt.

Would not surprise me if Carville is “recruiting” support from other schools behind the scenes

His rant was classic

He’s got solid contacts with heavy hitters on the plaintiffs’ side.

Never been a fan of Carville. But he is 100% correct in this case The ONLY thing that will persuade the SEC is a Temporary Restraining Order.

No flags?

-- there's plenty of evidence and I am sure Georgia would join in on the effort.

I hope so.
I'd also hope LSU would engage talks with the Big12 and ACC.

If we went to the Big 12 or ACC our program would fall off a cliff. Elite high school recruits WANT to play in the SEC. We've been a mainstay in the SEC and are a part of the original 6. We WERE the SEC during the 2000's. frick leaving when we see a little adversity (crazy saying that being ranked 4th in the nation with one loss).

Just maybe, that White call will be the straw that broke the camel's back. The integrity of the SEC has been suspect since Peterson's "non-interception" in 2009.

Would never happen in time, unfortunately. What they (by "they" I mean member institutions) could do is sue for an injunction requiring the SEC to restructure its officiating oversight mechanism.

I'm not sure what the claim/legal theory of the case would be, though. Maybe breach of contract if there is a provision of the SEC bylaws that requires equal enforcement of conference rules?

Went to school with his niece. She told me he is certifiably insane. That said, having a crazy person on your side sometimes can be beneficial.

NO!

Elite recruits want to play in THIS SEC. Elite recruits want to play for elite teams. If the SEC fractionated, the pool of elite recruits would as well.

What about 2006 at Auburn? Were those not SEC officials?

Plenty of time for a restraining order.

I think Carville could find sufficient grounds to sue and to reasonably seek a TRO. And, if anyone knows about judge-shopping in Louisiana, it would be Carville (and his pals).

And while I have political differences with Carville, If I could choose ANY lawyer in the country to lead a case like this, it would absolutely be James Carville,

Maybe in 2034. We signed a grant of rights with the SEC until then. No one will want us because all of our media rights stay with the SEC. Maybe they would pay the SEC to release us from the grant of rights, but I doubt it. The price would be too steep.
