So how will Alleva exit? And what will his spin on his "departure" be?

Will there be a press conference or a statement?

What I am most interested to see is how he spins his "stepping down".

Will he give some shite about this being the right time and wanting to spend more time with his family?

Will he come out guns a blazin and shite-talk those who "forced him out"?

I am curious to see how he handles this. I am sure NOTHING he says or does will come across well

I’d imagine it’ll be a salty statement that no PR person glanced at.

Yes....this is why I am so fascinated by what his response to all of this is. Because what you described is exactly what came out of his mouth several times about Wade.

From all reports, it’s a resignation and not a firing, so I would expect the statement to be something along the lines of:

“After much thought and prayerful consideration and talking with my family, I have decided it is best to step down from my role as director of athletics and vice chancellor. It has been a pleasure to serve LSU, and I will always be a tiger.

Joe Alleva
Director of Athletics/Vice Chancellor”

So you believe he is "resigning" on his own free will?

Absolutely. I think he’s just done with the job mentally

Probably the typical snowflake made up death threats, fear for my safety routine.

What he should say is this...."I feel like I've done the job I was hired to do and that is to crash LSU into the ground as far as possible. Today there is no more harm I could do."..... 'Legally'.

I wish he was grabbed out of his chair and escorted off campus by 10k students but we all know that would never happen.

LSU is not on good footing here. I expect Alleva to be classy, and i expect LSU to pay a ton to him.

Read between the lines here.

This is a firing for all intents and purposes.

You don't know how these things go do you?

I think he is aloof to it all, to be honest.

He has made enough enemies in high places such that those enemies are now the majority of the Board, thus his hasty exit.
