...Saban hires Kingsbury?

I think it is more likely to happen than not and it just makes me sick.

I’ll feel great because they’ll be on their 5th OC in 4 years so clearly they’ll be bad.

That’s how this works right?

FWIW they’ll promote Dan Enos

I don’t see Saban going full air raid. Even tho next year it would probably work with Tua and those receivers but once Tua is gone he will be back to having game managers and running the ball.

If Barbie Kliff were successful as OC at LSU, he would be a threat to Orgeron. That alone will keep Kingsbury from ever being on a Orgeron staff.

Yep. New coordinator = bad offense, so says the pumpers.

Enos will take over and not miss a beat.

This is dumb though.

We should never hire Kliff it be our HC. He’s a great OC. Some people are just that good OCs not good HCs.

Like some people are good DL coaches and not good HCs

I've heard that sentiment from several posters on this board. If it's true, then it says a lot about Orgeron.

And you don't think that is the same with Saban; or any Coach? Ed is actually pretty tolerant about that when you look at the Aranda situation. So whoever said this is just starting shite. Ed didn't want Canada after Canada's attitude showed up, it definitely wasn't because he was a threat to Ed's job. Canada was never going to be the Coach at LSU. That whole statement is stupid.

they will promote Enos first.

which is ironic considering there were no shortage of threads around this time a year ago begging LSU to go after Enos.

So Aranda isn't?

Aranda situation? You mean that he had to accept Aranda as his DC? Considering that Orgeron really should've never gotten the HC gig to begin with, I'd think that Special Ed is better off keeping his mouth shut about Aranda. Especially since Ed promoted his buddy to the OC position where he's completely in over his head.

Aranda is not a threat to Orgeron and even if he was, Orgeron knows he could do nothing about it. Aranda is viewed as virtually indispensable to LSU. Orgeron is not. Orgeron knows he must keep DA here to keep his job.

because LSUs offensive coordinator is not getting it done and simply retaining him because of this myth that continuity is the only way to have a functional offense is just that, a myth.

how many OCs has Bama hired in the last 5 years?

But the perspective is that O would perceive Briles as a potential threat and would not hire based on that. That actually sounds realistic.

I heard on the radio today here in Houston that Mack Brown is the leading candidate to become the new head coach at UNC again. He wants Gene Chizik as his defensive coach and Kingsbury as his offensive coach.

Good for Mack. O is not even close to his league.
