The fact that most of this board still supports the firing of Miles is all you need to know it was a bad idea.

You all laugh about the “toss-dive”, but I have seen a lot of teams start running it more. Stanford has run it frequently.

That's not possible. Shaw is a genius and would never run such a terrible play.

Forever trumps any of this nonsense from Coach O.

So playing for a natty will forever trump losing at home to a sunbelt team.

Good to know.

I didn’t think this year was as frustrating as the last few Miles years. Have you forgotten all the 3 and outs? Often times we didn’t have a first down until well into the 2nd qtr, and sometimes it wasn’t even against P5 schools. It was hard to watch.

I shocked that you would choose the Sun Belt loss to playing in a National Championship game. Shocked. Oh well, you've got your wish.

Hmm, yeah. My stable career and home life would say otherwise, but if it makes you feel better to think so, have at it.

You called that playing? Getting completely dominated on the national stage and watching your coach refuse to try something to win is much more frustrating than losing to a sun belt team IMO

I would say this season was very similar to the last few seasons under Miles. 4 loss year. Ran an offense that is built around protecting your QB from making mistakes. All the check-down throws Etling made.

The Alabama game was a double-digit loss again. We gained yards but scored no points in the redzone when needed.

The ND loss this year was a classic Miles game (win the game statistically and lose because you can't score in the redzone).

Add to that, we lost embarrassingly to two teams we should have beaten and scraped by wins against teams like Syracuse that we should have won easily.

firing a first year coach is promoting a stable environment conducive to success?

Yes, LSU was 2-2 when Miles was fired and he had lost the team. LSU was headed for a losing season last year and Orgeron inherited a fricking mess.

He had to get rid of one of the worst OCs in the nation and salvage a recruiting class while rebuilding the staff.

Where the frick do you dumbasses think LSU would be without Orgeron stepping into that mess?

LSU has solidified its' coaching staff and retained the best DC in college football.

LSU is set to close extremely strong in recruiting and finish with a top 10 class.

Yet, you bashers aknowledge nothing positive. If Aranda would have left you bitch. If he stayed you bitch too. Nuts.
