has never said a peep about Steve Shaw being the head of officiating for the SEC.

I agree about the AD of Oregon shouldn't be influencing the playoff committee, just like an Alabama grad, who is in the Tuscaloosa Rotary Club shouldn't be training and hiring/firing SEC referees.

Both have serious conflicts of interest

His voice doesn't mean any more than the others. It just means he does the interviews.

These people don't believe most of the things they say - they say these things to get people talking - as it drives viewers, clicks, ratings - and it works. If people stopped getting worked-up about these guys and their comments, then they would no longer matter.

Why don't you call in and ask him to defend his hypocrisy?

The point he's making about the Oregon AD is logical and a valid concern.

If Bama was already in or had no shot at getting in you wouldn't hear a peep about it.
Just another excuse from the Bama fan club

Paul Finebaum was bad when Bama was winning every game. Since the LSU loss he’s been downright insufferable in his attempts to lead the charge for the Bama backing into the playoffs narrative

All Finebaum is doing is trying to get Alabama in the playoff. He figures if he can make the optics look bad, then maybe Alabama can get in over Oregon.

Face it Paul, Alabama is at their ceiling. Unless Oregon,Utah, and Oklahoma all lose, Alabama has no shot.

PF clearly doesn’t know nor understand the process of how teams ultimately make the top 4. If you’re on the Board and your team is in discussion, you have to leave the room and completely recuse yourself in any discussion. This is what it was designed from start to avoid any bias in the selection process.

Finebaum is just plain boring! His insights are market driven and offer no actual substance at all. He would give a live bj if the executive office told him to

Fine bum has been a gumper for years. Now he just spouts off what espn wants him to. Just like every other talking head in sports and news. He’s taking bama’s crumble pretty hard. “Hey Paul, get used to it. The dynasty is OVER.”.

I read that, at first, as

he works for Orgeron

I was like, well hot damn!

Typical Gump hypocrisy.

He's just trying to keep the narrative going that Bama deserves a spot in the playoffs. He's already gone on record as saying that an 11-1 Bama team that didn't win its division should go to the playoffs over a 12-1 Oregon or Utah team that won its conference championship.

Exactly. At that point the Oregon AD has no more influence than you or I.

Everyone on the board has a prior history/affiliation with one school or another.

Curious, has Finebaum complained about the committee prior to Bama being on the outside looking in?
