The best Cbb season on ESPN was 5 or so years ago when he had surgery to repair his vocal chords and couldn't talk in my opinion

No matter what happens with this, Vitale has destroyed whatever reputation he thought he had as a reasonable and impartial voice in CBB. And he's too stupid to even realize it.

I heard that... I am utterly perplexed as to what the heck he was talking about.
He goes on a rant about Wade's comments being reprehensible, then goes on a rant about how players should be paid, then goes back into ranting about Wade's comments being reprehensible.
What? IF (we don't even know what the "offer" was) the offer was about money, then that means he was trying to do what Dickie V, by his owns words, thinks should be done for athletes. So it's one thing to say "well it's still against the rules, if the accusations are true", but to call his comments reprehensible?
What did I miss? Did Wade threaten someone? No. He was mad that the middle man was trying to get a bigger "piece of the pie". That means he's trying to get the student athlete taken care of, in some way, and not the middle man. So what is it about this that Vitale finds SOOO much worse than anything he's ever heard?

He was talking out of his arse just now because he knows he has not been consistent in his opinions. He knows Zion (or at least his family) got paid and has advocated for him playing this year, but now that people are questioning why he is so gung ho about coming down hard on LSU when he hasn't done the same with others, now he is crawfishing big-time.
