Absolutely, just as proud as DV is of his paisanos Valvano, Calipari, & Pitino. And his glowing endorsements of UCLA, Ky, Duke, Kan, UNC, Az,etc..

I'm proud that there is nothing that we did not already know. I'm proud the NCAA did an investigation and again there was nothing. I'm proud that LSU has an administration in place now that doesn't bow down to media.

I won't group Valvano with Calipari and Pitino.
Pitino is a total scumbag and Calipari has left multiple colleges on probation. But Dick never wants to talk about Pitino's transgressions. Total double standard.

The Scheme talked more about Rick Pitino than any other coach, which was someone DV has continued to defend. Tom Izzo's name was brought up. Another coach DV often talks up.
This is just a theory, I have no idea if this is the case or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if the coaches DV "loves" are coaches who are top donors to his charity. Because there is no way in hell he really believes Rick Pitino has never done anything wrong. And for him to be on Pitinos corner and then talk about how other coaches are "bad for the game" makes him a phony.. A complete hypocrite.

College basketball generated 600+ million dollars last season. So when these opposing fans and writers want to ask us if I feel proud that a 20 year old kid MAY have gotten a bunch of money to play a sport that Chandler Parsons is paid 25 million dollars a year to play. Yeah I don’t give a shite.
This moral high horse crap is so ridiculous.
Rigging ACT, steroids, circumventing eligibility, those things are corrupt. Those give you an actual advantage.
Paying a player is against the rules, but it’s a farrrrrrrr ways from something I’m going to ever look down on. I wouldn’t do my job for free and I generate <<<<<<<<<<< money than Jevonte Smart. Just looks at how much missing March madness just cost them. This ain’t a school provided extra circular, this a business, and business is about money.
