Yup. LSU fan first, then any school from the boot, then SEC (except Bama-want them to lose no matter who they play).

Yes they have.

Considering your inability to put a cohesive post together you probably shouldn't be casting stones and your post history doesn't exactly remind anyone of Tolstoy.

Bottom line:

SLU won a game they needed and LSU lost a game that really doesn't matter since they have larger issues to deal with.

Best recap of the situation. About 75% of the posters here are saying the same thing, but there are about 25% acting like complete jackasses.

This isn't "SLU's World Series"-fact. We didn't pitch our ace-fact. Winning means more to SLU than losing does to LSU-fact. Come selection day, one more top 50 RPI win will mean a hell of a lot more for us trying to get an at large, then one more top 50 RPI loss will for LSU.

Good win for SLU. Not the end of the world for LSU.

Midweek games don't really make or break LSU, but they can make SLU. That's why they threw a weekend starter at LSU and let him pitch thru 7 innings.

Different strategies will be employed Sunday at 3 PM.

Southeastern fans can't brag about anything but a midweek game.

All the fragile little LSU fans in this thread.

Watching this self-loathing fanbase devour itself after losses is almost as much fun as last night was.

Y'all aren't the first ranked team we've beat this year and I'm hoping you won't be the last. Hopefully we'll bump into each other in a regional again.

Another LSU fan and SLU grad here. Its always nice to see SLU pick up a win against LSU. However, I have no illusions that SLU is anywhere close to LSU talent and success. Its usually mostly luck when SLU picks up the win. And at the end of the day I would rather see LSU win a regional, super or natty. SLU has zero realistic chance at any of those.

People on this board wonder why lsu fans hate in state schools. It’s bc of idiots like you who make a big deal about mid week games. You won. Great. Stop making yourself look like an idiot

Honestly I see fewer SLU fans bragging about the win vs LSU fans upset and lashing out at the entire SLU institution. If the loss is not a big deal then why are some of you so upset?

LITERALLY A REGIONAL.
Since you don’t know the difference, that tells me EVERYTHING.

Interpretation for the SLU.
Again in the LITTLE LEAGUE YALL PLAY IN, y’all might be ok. Come play in OUR league or play us in the middle of the season for a 3 game series and find out what will happen.

You don’t want ANYTHING to do with us.

Wow. At least proof read before you hit submit. This is bad by even rant standards. Thanks for proving my point.

Getting back to the original post…
Carlise Koeslter was very close to beating
Vanderbilt at their place last year. He will be Southeastern‘s Saturday starter at a very least. Coach Riser has him pitching midweek games early… Because of the game last week versus ULL and this week versus LSU.
SOS is very important to a school like
Southeastern because their conference schedule isn’t very strong (exception Sam Houston ) . And no, Southeastern does not have the talent that LSU does. However, Southeastern is much more mentally tougher then LSU. Riser grinds those boys ,
He has to , because he knows that’s his equalizer .
It was a midweek game, no big deal for LSU. It’s a really big deal and a huge step for SLU .
A team that is continuously trying to climb the ladder to national recognition .

A very reasonable post. I don't think you will find many that think SLU is a better team. It's a quality win that obviously helps the Lion program more than it hurts LSU. I don't see why some people are getting so wrapped around the axle about it.
