If the NCAA grants all basketball players another year of eligibility does Skyler come back.

I think he does because he always seemed like school was more important to him. What do y’all think?

As emotional of a situation it is I wouldn’t see him coming back. He’s got a decent chance of getting drafted in the 2nd round. Would love to see him somewhere like San Antonio.

So seniors on Ole Miss who finished their season before everything got canceled, are they allowed to come back?

I understand trying to work this out for those in spring sports, but I think the winter sports are SOL.

It would have to be a blanket “winter sports student athletes get extra year of eligibility” if they went that way. If not you are opening yourself up to a lot of lawsuits if you relegate it to a specific sport.

Which is why I don't think they do it, because more winter sports teams finished their seasons than didn't.

No. He’s elevated his game enough to get drafted.

Most realistic post of the thread.
I suspect Skyler wants to get on with his life. He never expected to be a professional student.

Skylar is one of my all time favorite Tigers, but he isn’t playing in the nba.

Simple, extend the school year, backup summer school, move forward fall semester. Make all the teachers and students from K-12 and college make up the days and hours to finish the school year.

Summer vacations are too long as is

you are the same type of guy that said Garret Temple wouldn't play in the NBA.

Right or wrong, horrible comparison. They aren’t close to the same type of player.

Well put. And, I agree that seasons that were over leave players with a body of work that is complete. Any team that was still alive, had a chance for a player to get on a hot streak in front of the nation. Very good chance this player gets drafted, if eligible. Those players deserve a shot to make a long run into the tournament.

Why should he? He won't make the NBA but could have a long career making millions overseas

If he thought he was good enough to enter last year only to withdraw after consideration, he surely is gone this year!

Agree 100%. Hate that upperclassmen lose out on one last dance chance, but there is no reason to give basketball players a waiver for another year, after they played a complete regular season.
