re: Skylar Mays
I would say his coming back into the game would mean that he was not hurt bad.

He shook it off. Probably diagnosed his own injury.

Unless there was a family emergency or death, what kind of fan are you not watching the end? Even if you have to work, you DVR the end and threaten to MURDER any co worker that says ANYTHING about sports that night until you get home to watch the rest of the game, same goes for your kid's play, game, recital, etc..

re: Skylar Mays
I could go without Skylar kamikazing to the goal so many times a game and turning it over. He has such a good euro step. So I’m not sure why he feels the need to plow into people so many times a game.

He seemed to have an ankle issue too. Came off limping a couple of times.

He does it because that’s what his teammates need to see. I’ve watched Skylar inspire his teammates through his hustle and ability to fearlessly go to the rim

I love the way the dude plays

Yes his teammates need to see so many consistent reckless turnovers.

Don’t say that because dumbasses on here think he is a true point guard. He isn’t and never has. Those moves remind me of Johnny Jones when he played except Johnny was out of control nearly every time he touched the ball.

If you really want to see when LSU has excelled go look at the point guards on those final 4 and elite 8 teams.

It starts and ends at the point regardless of what people say.

You know the difference between 85-86 and this team? Taylor and Williams. Watford could become a Williams type player. Had a slow no jumping 6’6” white guy playing center...
Taylor was the engine...

That I do remember, I cringed every time he was driving in the open court.

Ethan and Derrick yes. 87 elite 8 team had Darryl Joe and Fess at the point so not so much.

2006 had D-Mitch who was not a true point guard but was a warrior, much in the same mold I think as Mays. 2006 team actually averaged more turnovers a game than our team this year, but was one of the top 5 defensive teams in the country.

IMO, without Mays, this would be a .500 basketball team.
You guys! The last two years, Waters was screw up. Now its Mays.
Its weird, the guy who plays his heart out, the guy they go to in a clutch situation, and usually delivers, is the player most criticized.

I can’t believe Javonte isn’t on the Rants shitlist

Javonte makes some really silly and selfish errors at times

Make no mistake - I LOVE SKYLER’s Leadership, drive, intensity, etc. and without him this team may not even be .500. He is playing out of position because we have no true point. By the end of last season, Waters did elevate his game if you remember right.

No, I didn't have to go to a funeral, but if you had to, condolences. However, if you had any reading comprehension, you would read the first few words of my post, where I stated missing the end of the game due to a funeral was excusable, and allows you to keep your LSU fan card.
