Do you think that team wins the natty?

Obviously he wouldn't have been ready in the first few games but probably still good enough to win with our talent. By the time the first bama game came around he would have been pretty solid (not like you have to be a world beater to score 9 points). By 1/9/12 he would surely have been a much better option than Jefferson or Lee

That’s all I remember.

He took the kneel downs in the beat down of Ole Miss.

Not with Les hijacking the play calling. Not even Joe Burrow could have won a natty in Les's style of play. Burrow in all greatness is still dependent on his play callers and their system.

IMO, no - if it meant playing Bama in a rematch.

The bigger problem on O in '11 was the offense wasn't engineered to be aggressive. It was more of a take what the STs and D gives you and don't turn the ball over.

Had we kept Crowton as OC and let him do strange and devious things, then yes I think we would have won the natty beating Bama in a rematch.

Simple answer, no. Mett's 1st season starting was very rough until the Bama game when he broke out. IMO Mile's should have put him or Lee in the NCG, what could it have hurt

We would not have been 13-0 and playing for a NC. Have you forgotten he needed a special booth on the sideline for 1/2 the 2012 season.

A better question is if we had never recruited Mett and signed Teddy Bridgewater instead...
