How badly will Utah beat their arse in a rivalry game?

I'd bet BYU wins 9 or more games this year.

BYU barely pulled off the Portland State win in Game 1.
BYU is average/below average, at best. Nonetheless, LSU totally dominated them and the game was never in doubt.

Not sure about the score but I'm certain BYU will cross the 50 yard line and have positive rushing yards against the Utes.

They play 13 this year, so 9 is possible. LSU, Utah, Wisconsin and Miss St are losses. The rest are winnable.

They are more likely to lose 4 of their next 5 games than win 9 games. T

If only lose 3 of the next five, they probably will end up with 9 wins. They should be solid favorites in their final six games.

Or is Portland St better than most realize. They nearly beat Oregon St last week.

To be fair, they are a pretty bad team THIS year.

I think BYU beats them this year. It's a home game and they are much better than everyone thinks. They will have something to prove in Provo. 23-20 BYU. If they do lose it will be by less than a FG IMO.

I don't think BYU is bad. I think LSU is better than most of us realize. The defensive talent is among the best LSU has had in my five decades of wTching them. This defense will dominate every offense it faces this year, much like last year. If Canada can nurse four drives and 10 points out of this offense we will beat Alabama.

Is Utah the baseline we're using to grade whether LSU is good or not?

While BYU is average, they were never in danger in that Portland St. game and didn't "barely" pull it off. Also, the Vikings almost beat OSU and it was the Beavers who "barely" pulled it out.

BYU is not a bad team. those saying that are the anti crowd that just don't like O. their defense was tough as nails, sure tacklers and were well coached. they were overmatched physically and played too conservatively, imo, and played to not give up the big play. that strategy would have been a darn good one if their offense could have moved the ball. they had a good OL but their skill players were not that talented.

we should have scored more than 27 points and, imo, was a credit to their defense that we didn't. frankly, I think it was a credit to our offense that we did. it was our first game with a new offense and we played well once they settled down.
